Colds do not cause lymph nodes. Just so you know you have lymph nodes all over your body (all the time). They are part of your lymphatic system which helps control your immune system. When you get a cold or have an infection these lymph nodes can swell and even be tender due to them activating to fight infection. So to recap you have lymph nodes all over your body, behind your ears, in your throat, under your armpits and even in your groin area. If you have a swollen lymph node you probably have a cold or some other kind of infection. Don't poke or rub it you can cause it to swell more. If it doesn't go away in a couple of days or you should probably go to the doctor. Hope this helps.

I believe you have mis-diagnosed yourself. Lymph nodes are part of the Lymphatic system and occur naturally in the body as a part of that system. There are lymph node "basins" in the body which serve as filters for the blood and skin and "lymphatic fluid" which flows through our bodies, as I understand it from a layman's point of view. I'm not sure what you've identified above your ear, but it's not simply a lymph node. It could be a Swollen Lymph node.....which can happen if they become infected. In the case of a cold, I suppose that's a possibility. In that case, what you would be identifying....is a Swollen lymph node, not a node caused by a cold. Lymph nodes are located in the neck, the groin, and under the arm, as well as throughout other parts of the body along with lymph glands.

Above your ear? I doubt that's a swollen lymph node, it's probably a big pimple or cyst. To answer your question, colds can cause swollen glands and lymph nodes, but it's usually the one in your jaw below your ear. If it's a viral infection, the swelling will go down on it's own when the cold clears up and it's not serious. If the swelling is painful, use a hot compress to help move the fluid along.

Your body has between 500 and 700 lymph nodes spread throughout. Nothing causes them. A cold could cause one or more lymph nodes to swell but it's nothing to be alarmed about.

We all have lymph nodes. They are part of the lymphatic system of the body. The purpose of the lymphatic system is to carry away dead cells. Part of it's job is to take old cancer cells out of our body. When you get sick, your body produces a lot of waste that the lymphatic system carries off. If it gets clogged, the nodes will swell due to inflammation building up in them.
Colds cannot cause lymph nodes, they are already there.
You can get rid of colds within 1 day if you catch it at the first symptoms. If you get a cold and do not treat it immediately, you can still get rid of it in 2 days. The body's immune system needs to be put into high gear to do this, but there's no reason to suffer from a cold.
Now if you listen to the drug company's expensive marketing hype and follow their suggestions, you will have the cold many days and spend a lot of money on drugs that are extending the cold, damaging your liver, and potentially developing many problems in your body from the drugs that you will have to deal with in the near future.
Drug companies and doctors are trained to treat the symptoms, not fix the underlying problems and actually cure the body of these illnesses.
So how do you get rid of a cold in 1 day you ask? You need to do some immediate things and then detoxify your body so your chances of catching a cold in the future is greatly diminished.
Go to: www.healthline.cc (not .com) Purchase the following from them:
Nucleotides --- At the first sign of a cold, take 1 to 2 of these per hour for your entire waking hours. The next day, you will not have the cold.
Allicidin --- At the first sign of a cold, take 6 of these per day in addition to the Nucleotides.
If you get a cold and have it for a day or two, you can get rid of it within 2 days if you follow the same procedure.
Additionally, from this company: www.roex.com order a jar of colostrum powder (not the pills). Take one teaspoon of this in the morning and one at night in some juice.
To protect yourself from future problems, continue taking about 1 or 2 nucleotides per day, 1 or 2 allicidin per day, and 1/2 to 1 tsp. of the colostrum per day. Also, buy some probiotic from that company and take one in the morning and one in the evening along with Keifer milk.
Additionally, you need to clear out all the old garbage that has built up in your intestines over the years. This is where the nucleotides are stored in your body, in the intestinal walls of the large intestine. Years of debris are trapped there and you need to get this garbage out. Do not rush and get a colonic. It is the worst thing you can do. This cleans your body out of the good bacteria you need.
Purchase "Cleanse Blend" from the above company. Take 5 capsules in the morning and 5 at night each day for 3 months. It is a very gentle, but extremely effective colon cleanser. It won't give you diarrhea or cramps, but it will clean your colon.
The last thing you need to do is fix your digestion. Purchase from the same company:
Betaine HCL --- Take 2 to 4 of these after each meal
Activator --- Take 1 to 2 of these after each meal.
Quantum digest --- take 1 of these during each meal.
Pink sea salt --- take 1/2 to 1 tsp. of this each day. Throw out the white, blanched, salt you bought at the local store. It's garbage.
Do this for the rest of your life. You will keep from getting the build up of stored fat around your waste as you age, you will add about 30 - 35 years to your life expectancy, and you will never get acid indigestion or acid reflux, and you will give your body nutrients it has been missing to build that immune system.
good luck to you
