All genetic defects are a series of missing enzymes.

DNA, which are the blue print or instructions that create a whole being or plant, depend upon enzymes to duplicate itself.

The enzymes disassemble and reassemble a DNA ladder inside the cell. The DNA ladder is called, "The double helix."

So, albinos are one form of a genetic defect.

Their gene, which is one of the pieces in the ladder, is supposed to express melanin (pigment). But, the enzyme that is supposed to assemble this gene has turned the gene off by simply not adding it into the blue print to build a normal human being. Why? The enzyme responsible is missing.

Thus, they cannot produce pigment and a scientist called this affect, albino.

Animals are also being born with the same genetic defect.

Genetic defects are from nutritional deficiencies or environmental toxins exposed to the parents that affect the next generation.

Biological scientists have predicted that it would take up to 4 generations to correct this problem with the proper nutritional tools and clean environmental practices.

People who are albino have a genetic conditon. They are the result of recessive genes coming together. They lake the ability to produce melanin which is the coloring cells of the skin. The lighter a persons skin tone, the less melanin they have per cell. The eyes also lack coloring in the iris to protect them.

Albinism is caused by a recessive genetic trait. (i.e. both parents are "carriers" of the gene, but neither of them need to physically show it)

It causes a lack of melanin pigment in their skin and eyes.

People who are Albino have very pale skin, pale hair, and pale eyes (not red). Many of them will have vision problems.

It's a lack of melanin - pigment in the skin, eyes, and hair. There's just no coloration at all, which makes the eyes appear pink and the skin and hair very light.
I think it's something to do with a chromosomal imbalance. Or something.

A common myth is that by definition people with albinism have red eyes. In fact there are different types of albinism, and the amount of pigment in the eyes varies. Although some individuals with albinism have reddish or violet eyes, most have blue eyes. Some have hazel or brown eyes.

why are people born hermaphrodites? Why are some people still born with a tail? Why are some people born with only one eye? Just blame the mother and father. They either carry a messed up gene, or they got exposed to some nasty radioactivity or drugs that gave them messed up genes. Sometimes, the gene change can prove to be an advantage, but the chances of it being an advantage are like playing the lottery.
