As long as the beach is "dog friendly" meaning you will not get cited for bringing your dog. I bring my dogs to the beach quite often... they are major swimmers!!!
This is what I pack for my girls: I fill a good size cooler with water and some ice (the kind you would see at BBQ's, sunscreen for their noses and bellies, 2 towels, beach umbrella (for shade), brush (comes in handy for sand removal), and most importantly... I pack their life jackets.
Hope this helps!
NOTE: Oops! I almost forgot!!! I also bring my bio-degradable doggie bags to pick up their poop!

That depends on the beach. Some are ok, some have no dog rules.
Pack poop bags, bottled water and a water dish, a towel or two, paper towels in case the dog gets sick in the car from seawater, shade if possible. An umbrella or small tent of some sort might be good. A food bowl.
Water bottle to spray the dog down if it gets too hot and does not like the ocean water. Plus you can use it to rinse off the seawater before you go.
Perhaps a treat or chewie to keep the dog busy.
ID on the dog, a collar it CANNOT back out of, microchip also.
Good 6ft. leash. Flexi lead, only if you know how to use one without killing other people.
I have a soft folding crate by Noz2Noz it provides my dog shade and a place to rest when I can't watch her (when I'm eating for example).
Some people say I overpack but then they end up borrowing water from me or my bowl or my bags or see their dog wanting to get into my dog's crate. So I just smile and say you might be right. I usually bring some dog food as well, I keep the kibble in a ziplock in a cooler so the food does not go rancid in the heat.
I usually bring treats so that if I let my dog off leash I have a better chance at her coming back immediately :) I don't let her off if she is too excited or I don't think she is trained well enough.

It depends on which beach you are going to. Some beaches don't allow dogs.
If it's hot, do not take your dog if it is very old, has collapsing trachea, heart disease, or is a brachycephalic breed that makes it difficult to breath. Hot weather combined with the strenuous activity of walking through sand can be hard on these guys.
Items to pack include poop bags, water dishes, fresh clean cool water, a spray bottle of water to spray your pooch, Pet Gel insect repellent and sunscreen (especially for white pigmented dogs), an umbrella to provide shade, toys for recreation - ball or Frisbee, leash, ID and record of vaccine history.
If you plan to do water sports or go swimming with your dog, be sure to have a life jacket for him. Also, take a lead for out in the water.

Take a leash, plastic bags to pick up doggie poo, and a bowl and water. Do not let your dog drink the ocean; the poor thing will vomit and be sick as can be for hours. Besides it being salty, you don't know what unhealthy organisms are in the water. DO provide plenty of fresh, clean drinking water and offer it often. And at the end of the day, don't forget to rinse your dog's feet and legs to get the sand and salt off.
There are dog beaches that specifically welcome dogs as well as people. Your dog will enjoy socializing with others of her own kind. Just be sure to keep her leashed until you know she is safe and won't run off.

It depends on the beach, for example Corolla, NC does allow dogs on the beach as long as they have a leash. I would check the beach rules online. You should bring some kind of cover to keep her from the sun, and bottled water and something to drink it from.

Depends on the beach. I have seen dogs at the beach. May need to be on a leash. May take her some water and a few snacks, maybe a toy. This may sound gross, but, some plastic gloves or scoop to pick up poo if you need to and drop in a garbage bag. Most dogs may not even need to go poo if they go before leaving.

Make sure you bring plenty of water to drink, some food and toys to play with. Also, be sure to bring plenty of baggies to pick up her poop - NO ONE WANTS POOP ON THE BEACH!
You can check around your area for dog friendly beaches which would be the best place to take your dog.

i think it just depends on the beach..maybe take a drive by one day, and there are usually signs for beach rules..that should say whether or not you can..or ask a local, they would probably know..but if you can i would just take some water and food, maybe a towel and umbrella for her to lay under if she gets hot..if she likes to play fetch take a frisbee that would be fun
