The only thing you killed is the English language. The kittens were probably ill to begin with. It is highly unlikely that the mother sensed a human on the bowl and rejected them because of that. Next time you ask a question use spell check so somebody doesn't have to decipher your horrific spelling!

The mother cat did not reject the babies since your 'human' smell was not actually on the kittens. Perhaps the mother got hit by a car or eaten by a predator. Or, perhaps the mother was young and just neglected them. Don't worry about it, whatever the reason, it wasn't your fault. You should be proud of yourself for feeding the mother since without proper nutrition, the cat wouldn't have been able to provide the proper nutrition for the kittens.

Probably not. The strays were already familiar with your smell since you have been feeding them. It may have been Mom's first litter and she did not know how to take care of them. They could have been sick. Unfortunately, strays are not taken to the vet to be checked out for health issues and the diseases are passed on the the babies. So, I think you did a good thing in at least trying to make sure the strays were fed; maybe next time try to take them into your life, heart and home and get them to a vet to make sure that they have a long and healthy life.

No. You did the kind and humane thing by feeding the mother. I would guess that there was something wrong with the kittens in the first place, or something else killed them. But not you. Also, the mother may have just suddenly abandoned them due to her own sickness and they died before you discovered the mother was gone. Don't blame yourself.

No. You had nothing to do with the deaths. Anything could have happened- the weather, parasites, illnesses, another animal killing them, the mother dying first and the kittens starving...absolutely anything. How sad. If mom comes back, get her used to you feeding her, then live trap her with a Havahart trap and have her spayed. Google "low cost spay/neuter" and find a vet who will charge very little (could be under $50) so that this doesn't happen to her again.

It may well have been a male cat found her "nest" and killed the kittens. Cats are generally pretty good mothers, not neglecting of their kittens. Had she thought you were a threat, she would likely have just relocated her kittens. I am confident that you played no part in the death of the kittens.

I sincerely doubt you did. At worse she would have moved the kittens if she thought there was danger.
It's possible a raccoon or dog found them, or some kids. There are a lot of dangers in a city and hopefully the mother is ok.

No don't blame yourself for trying to do some good...anything could of caused their deaths but it's highly unlikely your presence did it. If the mom was upset with you being near her babies she would of moved them instantly to somewhere more private. They may have died due to natural causes or not getting enough nutrition from mom, even fleas can be deadly to baby animals they literally suck them dry of blood so being strays they didn't have a very good chance at life to begin with. Once the mom knew her babies were no longer alive she more than likely wandered off, she had no reason to stay around. It's sad I know but it's nature.

no u didnt do anything... the mother would have just moved them if she thought u were a threat... often with kittens they get born prmature or unhealthy and die young....ive had kittens alot a litter of 7 then a litter of 5 then a litter of 4... and at least one died in each litter... (in the litter of 5 even 3 died)...
dont be so upset with yourelf if u did anything it was help them.... often kittens are unhealthy and pre mature.... ok
