What does it accomplish?
It is amazing that people do not bother to research Catholic beliefs before making false assumptions about Catholic beliefs and practices. Non-Catholic Christians who attack Christ's Church with false accusations only make themselves appear ignorant.
Most of the accusations against Christ's Church are so ridiculous it would be like a Catholic saying that all Pentecostals, Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists and non-denominationalists are Satan worshippers. That would be bearing false witness just the same as the Catholic haters, but then hatred only goes one way as Catholics are faithful in loving their enemies and having charity towards those lacking their grace and truth. May the Lord have mercy.

Zach,
Actually, contrary to what Alexander Hislop and Lorraine Boettner says the Catholic Church is not a church that follows Pagan beliefs. Such a claim is preposterous yet there are people that will believe such nonsense as your post proves. Who told you that Catholics believe they must go to the Father through St. Mary? Whoever told you this was a liar and one of the ravenous wolves the Bible speaks about.
Saying that those who die in a state of grace are dead is against the teaching of the Bible and all of Sacred Tradition. The Bible says that to die in a state of grace means we go straight to heaven, “absent from the body, present with the Lord”. Denying such denies the power of the Cross and Christ’s sacrifice for us. The saints are alive and are the cloud of witnesses around us who bring our prayers before the altar of god just as Scriptures say.
The bible says that St. Mary was not a sinner. It states that she was “FULL” of grace. Such a state of being does not allow

I pray that you come to realize that attacking Christ’s Church and denying the promises that Christ made in creating His Church is blasphemy. You are calling Christ a liar when you say that He was wrong when He said He was creating an enduring Church that the “gates of hell will not prevail against”. Believe the Words of Christ and reject the doctrines of men which is true blasphemy. May the Lord have mercy.

The bible says that St. Mary was not a sinner. It states that she was “FULL” of grace. Such a state of being does not allow sin for then one could not be full of grace. Nor is it theological logical that Jesus would have been carried in a vessel that was sinful but would instead have been protected from original sin by the Father.

THANK YOU!!! I'm so tired of being called a pagan. It's not fair that the general masses hate Catholics without cause. They don't even understand why they hate us. Before I (and any educated Catholic) form an opinion about another religion we always research it first and then form opinions. And I've noticed that Catholic sites are very fair to other religions.
edit: I have to tell you this story someone told me. She was talking to her friends and she said, "Oh well I'm Catholic so..." (Her friends gave her that omg you're Catholic look) And one of her friends was like "No offence, but I don't like Catholics." and the girl was like, "Why not?" and her friend was like, "I just don't agree with the fact that you guys worship a sun god."

Ignorance of Catholicism and Catholic beliefs still doesn't stop it from being the largest and most powerful influence in the world. If you ever see the movie The Scarlet and the Black with Christopher Plummer and Gregory Peck you will be inspired to see how the Nazi's thought their Reich would reign for thousands of years but it is only the Catholic Church that has done so compared to all the man made organizations.
It is also interesting to note that if you look up all Christian denomination in the encyclopedia or almanac they reveal the date and person who started those churches. Only the Catholic Church can say it came directly from Christ and from his time. Galation 1:6-8 Paul says some converts pervert the gospel: I am surprised at you! In no time at all you are deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ, and are accepting another gospel. Actually, there is no “other gospel,” but I say this because there are some people who are upsetting you and trying to change the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel that is different from the one we preached to you may he be condemned to hell! Semper Fidelis!

But look at the paganism in your so called church. the catholic church is filled with paganism. we must go to the father through jesus not mary who is dead. one of ur major doctrine states that mary was born with out sin. hello mary was a sinner but God chose her be cause she was so humble and un like all the other women of that day. the catholic church is BLASPHEMY. i trust that GOD will help you in the up come ing future. and i apologise for being so blunt.

I LOVE being a Catholic and also I LOVE all my fellow Christian brethren and also my fellow Earthians in all their vibrant colors and views. It is mind-boggling that anyone actually practices a faith of any sort, and mind-boggling that we can talk about it without crawling through our monitors and throttling one another to death (or at least into semi-consciousness). Grab life by the horns and ride that ride!
As a Catholic, you know what to do.

In regards to Mary's being "full of grace", the same exact term is used in Ephesians 1:6 of all believers. Are we all therefore to be thought of as sinless? I have researched the claims, beliefs, and practices of the Roman Church and have found support for her claims to be wanting.

Many appear ignorant oabout Catholic beliefs because they actually are:for many it is not just appearances.
They never go to Catholic sources and never try primary sources or check the veracity of their sources that they use.

Hey Buddy, that's a two-way street.
It's amazing that many Catholics do not bother to research the beliefs/practices of other religions. Catholics who attack other religions only make themselves appear ignorant as well. The number of times I've been on R&S and seen Catholics & Christians attack other faiths (primarily Wicca & atheists) makes me want to reach through my monitor and administer a long hard spanking to many people.
Practicing what one preaches is always a good thing.

and i thought our church said protestants churches are our brothers and sisters in the Lord and other non-protestants are called ecclesial communities which play a significant role in salvation. usually, whatever the pope says in public will be followed by a much softer tone coming from Vatican's thinktank. unfortunately, the softer tone isn't always highlighted in the news. i blame the news.

Catholic bashers don't seem to realize that when they bash the Catholic Church they are actually harming their own Church. If I were looking for a Church to join I would be wary of joining a Church that bashes other religions especially if it calls itself Christian.

I think the real problem is the education of the catholic beliefs should be made known so that people do not accuse of what they do not know.
