I'll give the "classic" answer - IF you have to ask, then you ARE too young ;);););)

Yeah, it's a little young, if by group dating you mean a bunch of people going out together, basically paired boy-girl boy-girl. But, it's not unheard of. I say 12 is when you get to hang out in a group and NOT pair off, 13 is a good age to start group dating, and 14-15 is a fair age to start casually dating. I wouldn't really get into serious relationships until you're about 16, though, because nothing's really going to last when you're that young.

I wasn't allowed to date, group or otherwise, until I was 17. I had lots of friends both male and female and that was fine. In fact my girlfriends who were allowed to date I found ridiculous as they fell in and out of LUV with the drop of a hat. All their drama was rather tedious and I thought them rather silly. And no I would not let my daughter date at 12 or 13, I think it is just way too young.

I'm a mother myself and I don't see anything wrong with group dating as long as I know who and where you are going. I would want some phone numbers in case I have to contact you. Also you would be home earlier than if you were 16. I just don't think its safe out there for young girls to be out at night.

ok there are a couple of things me as a parent of a 13 yr old wants to know...1st, The kind of friends you would be going out with. 2nd, where you would be going. and 3rd, Are you trustworthy and educated enough to know what dating whether single dating or group dating could lead to.If my daughter was going lets say to a video arcade with a group of friends I wouldnt mind. But if she was going to a movie theatre I may have a problem with that...All depends on the trust factor between your parents and you overall.

not for group daiting... which at that age is going to pizza and the movies... hanging out with groups of friends is perfectly normal at your age

Well, when I was 13, my mom wouldn't let me but, she was strict. I think group dating is a great way to start hanging out with boys. I would let my daughter.

well my opinion is,
yeah its ok! shes growing up and needs to be more indapendint. by like maby 14 she should be able to even go on a "normal date" (if its at the movies also by a ticket and 5 minits after the movie starts sit in the very back row and wach what they do together.)

No. Twelve is too young for that kind of pasttime. Wait till you turn 18 and maybe you will change your mind about group dating.
