Proverbs is brilliant and rather convicting to the soul... but it is also as if each passage was individually put on a playing card - and then shuffled... dealt out and then copied in the order the cards were dealt.
It is a really amazing thing to try and put similar verses of similar topics together... like completing a puzzle... the insights gleaned from such work seem somehow - deeper.
Perhaps that is also the wisdom of Proverbs... it forces you to study.
Peace dear one.

I agree with you. When I need strength in certain areas of my life, I have a proverb that I can read to keep me encouraged and on the straight and narrow.
Proverbs 3:6 - Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take (see also Matt. 6:33) NLT

I love proverbs and Solomen. Its one of the first books I ever read in the Bible. There is so much to be applied today. At first I didn't comprehend alot of what I read but gradually thing started making sense. Somthing would happen and I'd remember what I read and go back to it and it then made perfect sense. Happy reading!!

If you realize that king Solomon was the first beast in revelation, you might get a whole new perspective on Proverbs. Go to:
www.thekingdomofgodministry. blogspot.com
and read "The abomination of law in the balances"

Yes proverbs is an awsome book to follow for life. It helps you to make good decisions for your life. So i suggest that you should continue to read it. If you don't understand something you should try talking to your pastor. That's what i usually do.

checklist me in case you like for being a *****, I formally do not care yet Nateena is a bloody liar. 4% of her solutions are ultimate solutions. not at all been given a ultimate answer? Take an prolonged walk off a short cliff you mendacity rat. yet that replaced right into a somewhat solid shaggy dog tale. did not make me chuckle even with the shown fact that it replaced into unique.

Proverbs is a wonderful book. I went to Christian school through tenth grade, and it was one of my favourite books to study.
I discovered I am pagan about 20 years ago, and i still love Proverbs. It suprises my fellow pagans when i suggest to them to read Proverbs.

I have to agree.
Proverbs is chuck full of good advice, and keeps all the praise-God-or-burn-in-hell stuff that clogs the rest of the Bible to a minimum. My favorite verse from the book (and the whole Bible, as a ,atter of fact) is "A fool will return to his mistakes, like a dog returns to his vomit."
So true, so true...

I've always liked proverbs. I'm not a Christian anymore but it's still a good book to read.
