God has not asked us to do that. God promised that He will not flood the earth like that anymore. Noah built the arc over 120 years.
I believe it was approximately 450 feet long and 75 feet wide, 45 feet high. The proportions of Noah's ark are those of a stable and seaworthy vessel.

Yoda Green, did it ever occur to you that ark story is shown in bible as miracle, something out of ordinary?
i am more puzzled about how all the animals fit it (i do know the answer though!).
-------------
about original question: after flood noah did the offering and god liked it so much that he promised not to create another situation where ark would be required. thus no more ark.
people do try to build its replicas for various reasons (good and bad)

The ark would have been 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. Three stories high, a football field and a half long, and made of gopher wood, no less.

God explained to him what an arc was. and God said he would never flood the earth again so i guess there is really no need for one. unless someone has some other reason.

7 people helped him build it. The rest thought he was crazy. It was built to God's specs and only it could have weathered the global flood. It was not a comfortable vessel but it was practical for surviving.

These days we like to build arcs in artistic terms with computer-generated tessellations, fractals and the like (winks).

They do build arcs. Look at McDonalds. Look at the one in St. Louis.....the gateweay between the east and the west.
There are arcs all over.
You're wrong. There are lots more than one ARC.

No, there has never been an ark (note the correct spelling) as described in the bible.
Why? because any such vessel would collapse under it's own weight.
It's a myth, nothing more.

Noah had clearly communicated directions for building the ark by God (btw, you misspelled ark) in Genesis 6:14-16,
14 "Make yourself an ark of gofer wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it with pitch inside and outside. 15 This is how you are to make it: The ark will be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. 16 You are to make a roof, finishing [the sides of the ark] to within 18 inches [of the roof.] You are to put a door in the side of the ark. Make it with lower, middle, and upper [decks] (HCSB).
For a more detailed explanation of the reality of the ark you can find a good one here:
http://www.answersingenesis.org/get-answers/features/noahs-ark
Your question has some inaccurate assumptions (e.g., "they dont mention the people who built it with him who he left to drown."). He didn't have help that he left to drown, he had his 3 sons and their wives along with his wife and they all were on the ark and survived.
The reason there was only one ark is because there was only one global flood that God permitted and instructed someone to build an ark. This is pretty basic stuff if you give it a little bit of thought.
The real question is will you repent of your sins and follow Jesus as Savior? If not, you will face the next global judgment which will be the destruction of the world by fire as prophesied in 2 Peter 3:
1 Dear friends, this is now the second letter I've written you; in both, I awaken your pure understanding with a reminder, 2 so that you can remember the words previously spoken by the holy prophets, and the commandment of our Lord and Savior given through your apostles.
3 First, be aware of this: scoffers will come in the last days to scoff, following their own lusts, 4 saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation." 5 They willfully ignore this: long ago the heavens and the earth existed out of water and through water by the word of God. 6 Through these the world of that time perished when it was flooded by water. 7 But by the same word the present heavens and earth are held in store for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
8 Dear friends, don't let this one thing escape you: with the Lord one day is like 1,000 years, and 1,000 years like one day.
9 The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance. 10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.
11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godliness 12 as you wait for and earnestly desire the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be on fire and be dissolved, and the elements will melt with the heat. 13 But based on His promise, we wait for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will dwell. 14 Therefore, dear friends, while you wait for these things, make every effort to be found in peace without spot or blemish before Him. 15 Also, regard the patience of our Lord as an opportunity for salvation, just as our dear brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you. 16 He speaks about these things in all his letters, in which there are some matters that are hard to understand. The untaught and unstable twist them to their own destruction, as they also do with the rest of the Scriptures. 17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard, so that you are not led away by the error of the immoral and fall from your own stability. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (HCSB).
