Not sure what you are saying your problem is. If it's that science causes you problems with your faith, then you don't understand the science or you don't understand your faith because science and faith are completely separate from each other. That's how I can be a scientist and yet have a strong faith, because faith has to do with God and what he wants, and science is about the way God organized his creation and the laws that apply. You cannot find God in science because it does not seek the creator, it seeks the rules and patterns. You cannot find science in Faith because faith seeks God and his truth not HOW he does things.
Talk with other Christians, or talk with me if you prefer. But talk in some details about your faith problems and others will give you some insight. Also, of course, take your problems to the Lord. He will give you insights.

People question there faith all the time. How can you make your own faith stronger though? Decide , do you believe in God because of what the bible says or because you love God and the Ideal that is God. If you learn to love God for God and the Ideal that is God nothing will be able to shake this.
You will meat with things that can cause you to question your Religion because that is the nature of being a good person. Always questioning always wanting to learn more about your religion. Just learn to discern what is truth and how to incorporate it into your religion.
May you find your path and have an happy and fulfilling life.

It is only natural to question one's faith and nothing to feel guilty about. Whether or not you allow false information to have you stray into intellectual error (2 Cor 2:1-10) is where the danger is. The questioning of my faith has only led me to strengthen it.
There is a lot of false information out there and asking some common sense questions reveals the truth even if you use secular sources. For instance, if you look up the major Christian denominations in an encyclopedia or almanac you will discover the date it started and the name of the person who started it. Galatians tells us that Christ's Church is not from man and only one Church has its origins dating all the way back to Christ. This makes Christ's One true Church self-evident.
Your question concerning the apparent contradiction between religion and science, to me, reveals you need to do some research concerning creation science. Most people never look at creation science and yet criticize it. By looking into it I became convinced evolution takes a lot more faith to believe in because of all the assumptions they make. Micro-evolution is a fact but macro-evolution is not! It is important to know the distinctions. Good luck in your journey!

I started questioning my faith, left religion, and never looked back. But I'm not trying to scare you, or pull you away from what you believe. However, I would like to know, who's ideas do you want to get "back on track" with? If you want to continue to believe in God, but also believe that he created the world in such a way that it resembles the picture described by science, what's the matter with that? I say, don't worry about the beliefs of your peers, neighbors, or whoever else, embrace what you want to believe. If, deep down, you don't believe something, faking won't make you feel better. You still won't believe it, because belief isn't something you can fake. Put the idea of "getting back on track" aside for a little while until you figure out what you truly believe.

Yes, we all have times where we have to re-evaluate our faith. What scientific information are you worried about? Remember there are always many interpretations of every piece of evidence. Read widely. Read for and against the beliefs that you hold and see which arguments are more convincing. Personally, science can do a lot of things, but it has yet to demonstrate how life can come from non-life. It has tried, but in every instance it has come up short (not many will admit this though).
My main encouragement is to talk to someone who you trust can deal with your doubt. God for one can handle it, but it is wonderful if you can find a person strong enough to listen to you and not feel threatened and feel the need to "rescue" you immediately.

I have felt like this many times, I am a biology major, so science surrounds me every day, however I know this is hard to understand, but honestly it is all faith. I know that There must be someone greater than me that greated all this. I have faith in God and the Holy Bible. I question it at times, in my head, it is human nature. Pray some more and read your bible, reading my bible and some of my favorite verses always helps just has jeremiah 29 : 11 " For I know the Plans I have for you declares the lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you , Plans to give you hope and a future" I read this and it just strenthens my faith God is great and He loves me , and it gets me through. I know talking and reading my bible helps me the most, so if you ever need to talk email me, and I would be happy to answer any other questions.

In the end, you'll do exactly according to reason, YOUR reason. Whether you'll choose to believe in an intelligent consciousness which predates the universe, who intentionally decided to create it from nothing, with a plan in mind for it and a specific purpose for us; and in a God who chooses to reveal himself to us humans through miracles (violations of the laws of physics, chemistry, and biology) or, instead, if you choose to make sense of life with non-contradictions, in either case you will have used the best of what your brain is capable of.
Faith, too, is the product of thinking. You don't get up one day with a faith in something or somebody. First you think about it and then you accept. Faith is an emotional conclusion of your thoughts and, in the end, you will choose what makes most sense to you.
One thing about faith is that it produces answers much easier than reason, since with faith we can always say that if something strikes us as mysterious, or hard to understand, it must be something that God made or intended for us.

don't panic, it is okay to question your faith. By questioning your faith you are opening your mind. Do not try to close your mind, keep asking questions. When a person questions something it means that they are searching for an answer, a true answer. Don't let anyone tell you what to believe, search for your answers for yourself, and don't rely on just one source for answers. I am in the same shoes as you. When I started questioning my faith I began to become confused because I was searching for an answer that I was practically afraid of. My head constantly felt as if it was spinning. I was constantly looking left and right, I was searching for something, and then I found the answer I was looking for, once I found the direction to go I no longer was confused and I am still on this same path.

I was once atheist, and I tried to disprove faith or the existence of God with every breath in my body, but i started asking questions, and I started to red the Bible, and everything that I have learned about science had brought me to faith, and this year I accepted Christ as m savior, and I have been so happy since then, when i was atheist, I was depressed, a jerk, and I hated everybody... but that has drastically changed, and i am a follower of the lord, all i am saying is ask questions, ask many questions, and the answer will come to you.

The world (human thought) is screaming 24/7 to you that your faith is useless. The bible describes this as "mine enemies" rising up against me. It happens. You must be strong to overcome temptation and you do this with new understanding. Keep faith and be strong, because God is strong, and your light is coming from Him.
