Ah man, i hate that word. Your parents are doing a good job in pointing out how dumb that word is. I go to college and i can't believe the retards who use that word when describing a character in a story and the retards who return laughter. And my music genre has been so corrupted with this scene and word. Everyone thinks they are cool for using "emo" now.
But yeah haha, my parents know i think anyone who use emo to be thoughtless, mindless, and consumers manipulated by whatever, so they use it to just to piss me of. >_<

My parents are in their 60's. They don't even know what "emo" means. I'm 41 and I'm not sure I know what "emo" means.

definite definetly, xbox isn't meant purely strictly for boys interior the 1st place, so while they brag approximately being a woman they're purely reinforcing stereotypes approximately us. What fairly bugs me approximately them is while they play video games just to make adult adult males like them. Its form of like a guy going shoe paying for for heels just to electrify females.

It's my guess that your parents are doing it deliberately because they know it bugs you. As parents, my wife and I used to do the same thing to our teens a few years ago. We knew that they hated it when we used "their" words.
