Aliens visiting this planet in the past became the 'god' you mean?
Why not, it makes as much sense as other beliefs.

It isn't the same, though there are some common aspects. God, as well as aliens go into the area of human mind, imagination and fantasy of what we call the unknown. Aliens are a kind of image for the fear of the unknown, related to this time we live, where myth has fallen in face of science. Before human being figure out aliens, our ancestors would be afraid of goblins, elfs, vampires. Science puts all these creatures away, but the unknown still exists, and finds ways of making part of human cultures. / God and aliens are almost antagonic in the field of faith. (Because it is needed faith to believe in aliens, a kind of faith very alike the one needed to believe in god: faith in something that cannot be scietifically proved.) People who believe in god, usually understand, from matters of faith, why there are no aliens, and what would it be like if there were, at least hypothetically. People who believe in aliens usually have interests for or background in either scepticism or spiritualism. / G. Rio de Janeiro

As I believe there is only one God with many faces and names, it would follow that I also believe any alien would have the same God. I have wondered about this, and this is the conclusion I came to after a lot of thought. This isn't an answer right off the top of my head.

Agh. These people spout so much nonsense.
Yes, God exists, and this is why...
A supreme being, such as God, is possible. In eternity, everything possible must happen sooner or later. Since God eternal is possible, he must exist.
And it is possible that intelligent aliens exist also, but I don't think they have really visited Earth. Yet. There might be many many worlds with intelligent life on them, but most won't ever do much in space.
They may be too far away, not interested in us, incapable of getting here, or already extinct. Most people who think they have been here are just wishing, deluded, trying to sell you something, or mentally ill.

Do you mean that if aliens exist, that it proves God doesn't exist? If so, then no it doesn't. As far as I know, no world religion teaches that humans are the only intelligent life in the universe.
Or are you asking if God is an alien?

Having difficulty understanding the question. A series of books published some years ago by Eric von Daniken suggested that life on Earth is the result of an experiment by aliens. If this is what you are suggesting then it begs the question "Who created the aliens". Your question has no answer.

GOD created all of us. We are the aliens to "other worldly inhabitants." The folk from other worlds, are aliens to us. Thus the Lord made us all. That's simply how it is. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

I think you are suggesting humans were put on earth by aliens. We might be an alien experiment. Aliens keep watch on our development and we call the voyeur God.
