Does anyone besides myself ever notice that when speaking to those that you don't really know, that people tend to talk about themselves? As soon as the topic gets changed to you, or something not about them, they seem to end the conversation and walk away. These are the same people who start the conversation eagerly talking about themselves, their life, etc, and only want to talk to you if they have to share something about themselves. Is it just me, or is this human nature?

It is only for those who don't know how to carry on a conversation and are uncomfortable with people. It's all right to give up some info about yourself as long as you can conversely turn it back and ask a question of similarity to whomever you are speaking. This is called a conversation. If you continue to find this in your socializing, maybe you need to brush up on your conversational skills a bit as well. I rarely come up against people like you are talking about but if I do I recognize that they aren't going to be in my social circle.

Yeah, what's up with that, anyway?

So today I got up and had me some breakfast, it wasn't much, just some oatmeal. Then i took a shower, boy was that relaxing. I noticed that it was going to be a cool day out, so I wore a heavier shirt than yesterday ..

it shouldn't be like that. those people have poor people skills. i hate people who only talk about themselves. there are so many things in the world to talk about that both parties can engage in, instead of listening to a person babble on about themselves.

Those people are self centered. Not worth your time anyway. Don't stress it.
