No, it dosen't sound like you have an eating disorder. It just seems that, after being a picky eater as a child, have developed this habit of not eating anything and just gotten used to it, despite liking the food now.
I think that you should learn to cook, but in a way that makes it seem fun. Unless you're used to cooking, it can be a bit boring trying to learn things out of a recipie book. See if there are any local cookery classes in your area, or ask a friend to teach you! Invite people round more often so you can cook together, and get into the habit of making food for yourself. I have a cookbook which is split into different difficulties depending on how lazy you're feeling!
Maybe as a starter point, it might be a good idea to talk to your GP. Tell them what you've said here, and they may prescribe you some special milkshake things that help you put on the weight to begin with, as a short-term solution. But I think your main problem is that you just don't cook!
Best of luck, get licking the bowls when you cook! :-P

You haven't been taught how to cook proper meals. Clearly your mom wasn't a good cook - or else she didn't cook to your tastes. What should have happened is that you should have experimented and discovered what foods you DO like. Unfortunately during your teenage years you learned how to get by without ever cooking at all.
You may very well be malnourished (that doesn't necessarily mean you don't eat - but there's no decent nutrition in crisps, you need vitamins etc! ), but I don't think you have an eating disorder. There are several signs and symptoms of an eating disorder that are easy enough to look up. Being underweight isn't even the main symptom.
I would suggest you visit your doctor, and ask to be referred to a nutritionist. Let them teach you how to feed yourself properly. Sign up for a few cooking lessons or ask relatives who know how to cook for their families to show you how to make some dishes.
You're 22 now, time to stop waiting for someone to cook your dinner and take it upon yourself to be in charge of your health.
Good luck

dont worry child your not the only one with this sort of problem what you need to do is retrain your mind an body to the habit of eating a proper meal regulary it wont be an easy task for if youve been eating the way you say your stomach will be well an truely shrunk so heres what to do train your mind to think of delicues meals prefrabley when your relaxing in bed on your way to sleep then try making yourself a small meal an try to eat it if you cant force yourself to eat it then do this 1 or 3 times a day an gradualy make the meals bigger ok.or you could do it another way but you would need a contiues play walkman an headphones then get one of your friends that has a voice you listen to to make a cassette with nothing on it besides words like you will eat normaly you crave a normal cooked meal you will cook an eat your proper meals tget her to say these sort of things on both sides then when you go bed listen to the tape all night even let it continue to play while you sleep an afther a while you will get a nice suprise

Try this link to the Mind website:
Understanding eating distress:
http://www.mind.org.uk/Information/Booklets/Understanding/Understanding+eating+distress.htm
the information is easy to read and understand.
You definitely have a problem with food, but you need to go and talk to your GP and tell them how you feel and what you do. They can then assess if you need help for an eating disorder or if this is a symptom of something else.
Not having the motivation or feeling the need to eat can be a classic sign of depression, so it may be that if you are treated for that then the eating will sort itself out.
Understanding depression:
http://www.mind.org.uk/Information/Booklets/Understanding/Understanding+depression.htm
might help as well and give you more information.
You have taken the first step to finding an answer and a solution, so keep on and go and get the help and support that you need and deserve.
Take care.

You need to eat different things. What do you like? It's also about will power, a lot like losing weight: you have to make a goal, map out a plan and stick with it until you reach your goal. I don't know what 6.5 stone is... but I lost 70 pounds, if I can do that then you can gain a few pounds. Set a goal for yourself and follow thru!

You don't say how tall you are. 6.5 stone may not be underweight if you are tiny. I don't think you have an eating disorder, if you did you wouldn't eat crisps, especially 5 bags a day. You just sound lazy. If you are too lazy to cook then eat out more and snack on fruit, its better for you than crisps.

It sounds like you are a lazy eater, you do have a low weight. Find a book that makes simple recipes so that you can start to enjoy cooking. Sometime cooking for one doesn't seem worth the while, but you really should or you will be very ill in years to come.

wow this sounds exactly like me
i am sooo desperate to put on weight!!
the best thing to do is visit your dr and arrange some councilling session as they can identify why you have such a problem with food, you may no like the taste of alot of stuff because it trigers certain memories, this stuff is totally facinating!!!
in the mean time try to eat very small amounts every 2-3 hours and vary what you eat, like muffins cereal and switch to full fat milk, if you do not feel up to eating little and often why not build yourself up with plenty of smoothies and milkshakes?
hope ive helped and good luck!!!

maybe you just don't want to do the cooking or something. Try joining a cooking class or something so that you learn to enjoy cooking as well as eating.
But i would see a doctor if i was you, it can't be healthy to weigh that little or to live on such a poor diet
