I clicked on the question because I wanted to view the premise. Having done so, I will say that if I am God's favorite, He's in BIG TROUBLE! Seriously, though, my three children are all my favorites. This one for the career path he chose and in which has excelled, that one for her lovely personality and superior intelligence, and the other for his determination and perseverance. I pray that my Heavenly Father finds as much favor in me as I find in my children.

To the person that answered we are all God's favorite... that apparently isn't true. I just posted a question that asked why doesn't God strip Satan of his power so the doubt we all feel about God can fade away and we can all be with God? And unfortunately the first answer, followed by others, was that God doesn't want everyone with him.

I would assume that means I am not God's favorite. Otherwise I wouldn't question him every minute of every day.

First of all it is by grace that I have been saved, not by anything I have done.

1 Peter 2:4-9
You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God's temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for a great Honor.
And you are living stones that God is building into a spiritual temple. What's more, you are his holy priests. Through the meditation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. As the Scriptures say,
" I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem,
chosen for great Honor,
and anyone who TRUSTS in Him
will never be disgraced."
Yes, you who trust Him recognize the Honor God has given him. But for those who reject him,
"The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone."
And,
"He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall."
They stumble because they do not obey God's word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them.
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

God doesn't play favorites.

Acts 10:34-35
Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.

Romans 2:11
For God does not show favoritism.

Ephesians 6:9
And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

Colossians 3:25
Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.

May God Bless you, all who respond on this forum and keep you in His Mercy. In the Name of Jesus Christ, My Lord, I pray.

Marianne

Well, by reading the bible, God created me as I am. Unfortunately I am an Atheist... According to the text, all Atheists have their flesh continually burned off in unspeakable agony for all of eternity. With all of these absolutes, the conclusion is clear that god is a Sadist.

I don't think I am God's favorite.

I just wondered who you meant,

so I clicked on it, to read the second part of your question.

I am a Christian, but I do not believe that God has favorite people. We all have free will and are equal, in God's eyes.
