now im sure some to alot of people probably believe this but im serious, just for fun sake, what steps could he take to bring about a nuclear holocaust, it could be easy couldnt it?

are there any nostradamus or religious texts about the antichrist that could shine some light on the current situation?

why cant I die? - just one 2012 would have done nicely but really i think the fact that bush believes in christ and not the mayans is an unsettling factor, perhaps he might do it just to spite all you folks who believe in 2012, thatd be kind of funny in a way then immediatly not, but id get a quick chuckle out of it

jh - i dont consider the iraq war a step toward the apocalypse at all, it just doesnt give me much confidence in his decision making prowess which could result in some unexpected and horrific results

and also, yes mutually assured destruction has deterred nuclear holocaust in the past but thats only if both sides are rational, im envisioning a scenario (and with just cause in my opinion) an executive who doesnt care about what happens as long as he goes to heaven

He could provoke a nuclear holocaust happening in the coming months actually. We have U.S. aircraft carriers and U.S. soldiers bordering Iran as we speak. Iran has nuclear weapons unlike Iraq and Russia is providing them with them. As a matter of fact both the left and Christians have been talking about something disastrous happening. U.S. debt is at 8 trillion, the stalk market is down, and the interest is up. Provoke the apocalypse? What do you mean? Are you comparing the use of nuclear weaponry to the apocalypse? Or is your meaning that somehow he can force God to hurry things up a bit?

With great power comes the need to exercise great restraint. This will be lost upon the first fool who stumbles onto possession of an illicit weapon. He won't know the true destructive capability and will have no compulsion to hold back employment. He will think he is doing a greater good for his otherwise impotent god. If anyone is primed to use nuclear weaponry in this current conflict it is not our President. Little does the enemy of decency realize the level of preparedness in place. Response would be near automatic, total, and decisive.
There is either no discussion at all concerning nuclear weapons or the talk is casual. Is it possible an entire generation has grown up since the end of the cold war? That might explain why so few see any importance in keeping others from achieving them.

OK I'm gonna play along this one. Bush has to use his "resolve " to create a flashpoint situation in several parts of the hostile world at once. Then he needs to create some kind of Gulf of Tonkin situation
where used Soviet ICBM's w/o nuclear warheads are launched from the area of those flashpoints -GWB may have to finance it himself - at that point he has to hope that the US military cannot confirm or deny that those missles don't have nuclear warheads on them and then he can issue the orders and push the button.

He doesn't have the power to do so anymore. Most people that held his strings have gone. Unless Iran is going to do very strange things, like attacking Israel, it won't happen. And Iran is still quite some time away from their nuclear bomb. They're just better poker players than Bush & Friends.

Don't forget, the terrorists have been hitting the U.S. for decades, long before a single one of our soldiers set foot in Iraq. Also, recall that 9/11 was being plotted long before Bush was president. It was being plotted during the Clinton Administration. So, our being in Iraq has NOTHING to do with the terror attacks happening around the world, and threat of terror attacks here in the U.S. (Notice I said the "threat" of terror attacks in the U.S. That's because since Bush started campaigning against terrorism, they've not been able to touch us. Now he's doing everything in his power to try and fix the garbage he's done, or at least make it look like it's not his own fault.
