"believe in God"? Hmm. Okay. Yes.
Believe in the covenant of the New Testament between the one true God and humanity that provides for salvation of the eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus? Absolutely YES. Take comfort in it? You bet.

Yes I do. The history of Gods son is written down in The Bible. People walked with him and talked with him. He was baptized for he said it was to be done and people saw the dove descend from heaven and God's voice saying this is my beloved son in who I am well please.
People say because you can't see God he doesn't exit, well I can't see a virus or bacteria but see do see the results of what they do to us. With the the right equipment we can see them. I may not see God before me right now but this world didn't create itself. It had a creator. We see the results but not him yet. We will in time. It was centuries before man saw the itsy bitsy no see ums.
The big bang doesn't explain the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees or you and me.

Nope, not a shred of real evidence!
And if you can infer the character of someone that doesn't exist by what's written about them, I'm glad to be rid of one who-
*murders some children so that others can be released from slavery!
*wipes out entire cities and civilizations on a whim!
*tricks his most ardent believer into almost sacrificing his son!
(sick SICK sense of humor if he was doing that to amuse himself!)
*gambles with the lives of one of his believers (Job), killing his wife and children and wrecking his entire life so that Yahweh can win a BET!!!
and it just goes on
No evidence and He's a monster anyway!
So...
NO!!
