I have an anxiety disorder

This is really embarassing but

i used to masterbate and watch porn almost everyday for years

it seemed to help release the stress i had with my anxiety and other stuff at the end of the day

iv been trying to stop on and off for a while

i went cold turkey and stopped all of the sudden

its been a week since i stopped

but anyways its getting tempting again

my anxiety is very bad when it comes to girls

i dont know if this has to do with all the years of watching porn and masterbating

i dont know what to do

im a teenager and its very tempting

Can porn and masterbation cause Phychological effects

like affect my anxiety and make it worse
and add more shyness

but i have had an anxiety disorder way before all this

and i wonder if my bad habit has made it worse

[I Hope everyone answers respectfully and be mature about the matter]

Thanks

Many people experience extreme guilt from masturbation. Porn is very unrealistic. You may benefit by eliminating porn.

Maybe work on skills of communicating with the opposite sex and treating them with respect.

You always put in writing, "I have an anxiety disorder" as though someone drilled it into your head and you now own your disease. If I were you, I'd do everything I could to not make that my identity, because its a very destructive and draining identity.

Now, you think masturbating and watching porn are "bad habits" which are an extension of how you feel about yourself. A bad person with a disorder.

Aren't you tired of that label? Don't you want to tell your psych and your parents to F off by now?

Its time for you to hang around people who think the world of you. Get involved in sports or something that has to do with the arts so that you have social interaction with people who accept you the way you are.

You are just merely doing normal things that make you feel good and its not at the expense of anyone else. So, good on you. Not bad.

Porn and masturbation do not cause psychological effects. They did not cause or make worse your anxiety. There is no reason to quit looking at porn, or stop masturbating unless it was starting to take over your life. (If you chose those things over other activities you enjoy or over friends, etc.) Nearly everyone masturbates, and frequently too. Porn is just a matter of taste, some people like to see it and some don't.

Instead of viewing women as ordinary people like yourself you can start viewing them as sexual objects only. Sex is a very wonderful and beautiful thing. Sex is a way for 2 mature adults to show their affection for each other. The way you are practicing sex is how someone avoids interaction with someone else. Find a SA group in your area and talk to someone. Odds are they have experienced the same things as you. If you live in a rural area, look up SA (Sex Addicts Annonymous) on the web.

after immediately viewing porn, it can leave the thought of sex lingering in your mind for days, making some interaction with females awkward, but if you are preoccupying your mind with other things other than porn this would not bother you as much

do not be afraid of the puritanical evangelist nazi society, they can't take your life away

It's much more healthy to watch porn and masturbate, than it is to try and stop. There's no adverse effects at all. Don't feel bad about doing it. Everyone does it.
