Absolutely.

I can testify to that after what happened to me today! I've been struggling with a work-related problem for a few years (a conflict with a co-worker). When I learned last week that he was campaigning for a position that would let him evaluate my performance and decide my fate with the institution, I couldn't see any way to prevent him from getting this power so I put it in God's hands and asked him to deal with the problem as he saw fit.

I've always believed that God put me in this position because he wanted me here...in this town and in this job...but I was prepared to live with the idea that God might want me in another job in another place and that this person might be his way of moving me in that direction. Then, in just the last few days, a sequence of events unfolded that completely changed the situation. The events involved the independent decisions of several people that all happened at the perfect time to prevent my "enemy" (I love him anyway) from having the power over me that he wanted so badly. I have and will continue to thank God for this answered prayer!
