How do you know she has hookworms??? Hookworms aren't usually visible. The only way to know for sure a dog has them is with a fecal test done by the vet.

If the vet was the one that made the diagnosis then the vet is your best source of deworming. Also be aware hookworms can be hard to get rid of and it can take more then one deworming usually done two weeks apart. After which you will need to take another stool sample in to be tested to make sure they are gone. Deworming with an OTC product was a total waste of money as you found out since they are worthless.

Hookworms can stay in your yard. She probably doesn't "still" have them, but has continuously been reinfected. Clean you yard thoroughly (that is, pick up all the poop and throw it away) and keep doing so, every time you take her outside. Otherwise the meds won't matter. If she's already been on meds for 2 months, you might even want to go as far as leash walking her to make sure she isn't getting into anything you missed.
