How do I take a black & white photo and put color into one things while the rest of it stays black & white?

if you don't want to buy anthing that'll be expensive or use a computer do this :
photocopy the picture onto regular xerox paper
dilute acrylic paint with a little bit of water (enough so you can still see gray-shading through it)
add the color to where you want without over wetting the picture
let it air dry
scan it onto the computer
re-print it onto photopaper

should work well if everything's of good quality

Yup, photoshop or PSP (paint shop pro). I think Photoshop is your best way to go though.

They make special markers for photographs. They come is many colors.

PhotoShop. is a place to start. and I was going to be tacky and say crayon.
