I proposed to my wife on halloween :-)
She always told me that whenever I propose, make sure she's dressed up and wearing makeup.
Being the fun and crazy personality I have.... I talked her into being a zombie bride and groom for halloween (and she had NO CLUE it was coming)
I entered us in a HUGE costume contest where there were hundreds of people.
We walked down this runway together for the contest.... and I arranged for the DJ to give me a cordless mic - which I hid in my pocket.
When we got to the end of the runway, I stopped her.... dropped down on one knee.... pulled out the mic.... the DJ turned off all the music and turned on my mic.... and I proposed to her :-)
We were both crying hysterically because it was the most emotional moment both of us ever encountered.
She said "Yes" and then I gave her a 2ct flawless diamond ring ;-)

My husband and I knew on the first date that we were destined for marriage. We just felt it and never looked back. I can't really explain it except to say we were 29 and 31 so we were old enough to know what we really wanted. Our love grew and the entire time we dated, it was more a matter of WHEN, not IF when it came to talking about marriage. So, yeah, I knew it was coming but I had no idea when. We had been dating for about 8 months when we went to look for rings. We weren't buying....he just wanted to get an idea of what I liked and what ring size I was. The first store we went to, I found a ring I really liked and that was it....we didn't even bother going to other stores. About 2 months later, on a Friday evening, we had just eaten dinner at my place and were cuddling, just talking about things. We were talking about other people's engagement stories when he said "what if I told you there was a ring in this apartment?" I was like "WHAT?! Stop kidding me!!! That's not funny!" I seriously didn't believe him! He took my hand and led me to the bedroom where he opened one of my dresser drawers. He had hidden it in there 2 months ago and I hadn't noticed!!! He got down on 1 knee and proposed....it was awesome....very spontaneous. It was October when he proposed. He was going to wait until November for my b'day but he just couldn't wait any longer. :) It was so great! I always thought I would cry when my future husband proposed but I didn't! I was so overwhelmingly happy....I just jumped up and down, hugging him, and saying "yes, yes, yes!!!" :) He had this whole big proposal planned but instead, it ended up just being this very impromptu thing but it was perfect. Now, he won't tell me the big, romantic proposal he had planned because he says he's still going to use it...maybe on an anniversary or when I least expect it. :) He's such an awesome husband.

We've been together for 3 and a half years, but he has 3 years of college left, and I have 1 left.. his is a 5-yr major, mine is only a 2 yr.
We talk about being married someday all the time, I'm a sap and I love all the wedding shows on tv... anyways so we talk about it all the time, and I cannot wait. He is a very romantic person, so I have high expectations and I know that it will be amazing and unforgettable... I think he's going to ask his last year of school..... can't wait! =)

I had no idea it was coming at all. We had talked about it ring shoppes but like 6 to 8 month before. I figured he would when he could afford a ring.
We were sitting at home watching TV on memorial weekend last year, when he asked if i wanted to go for a ride. Of course I wanted to get out and a drive sounded nice. We were headed no where but some where he said. We ended up at the beach our fav place to go. We walked around down in the sand watching the sun set against the waves, beautiful clear day! When all of sudden he got down on one knee and purposed. We are going to be married on the beach by the sea at sun set this coming June.

My husband proposed to me the first day we got together.I had been crushin on him for about 6 months before we actually got together. I had prayed about it and God spoke to me and told me this was the man I was supposed to be with. I had met him in church and then found out he was my next door neighbor, (weird, i know) Anyway, after 5&1/2 months of being friends, i started hinting around that there was a guy I liked but that I wasnt sure where I stood with him. I tried to tell him in my own little way that it was him, but he wasnt catchin a clue!!LOL! Anyway when he finally figured out that I meant him,he said 'well yeah I'd like to try it out. But if we're gonna be together ,we're gonna be married someday.' I said, 'yeah I know'. He said, 'you would marry me?' I said 'yes, i would' then he said 'well then can we seal that with a kiss?' Here we are coming up on 3 yrs together next month and married almost 2 months and I still remember the chill up my spine and the tinglin all the way to my toes from that kiss!!

First marrige: It was Christmas Day and we were spending it together and with family. When we were opening presents he handed me a beautifuly wrapped box and said "I hope you like it."and inside was a beautiful diamond and saphire engadgement ring. He took the ring and said "Will you marry me?" and I said yes. It was sooo romantic. We were married the next New Years Eve.
Second Relationship(We aren't married yet):
We were at Six Flags and at the end of the day he had us see the fire works. I just thought,hey, he just wants to see something beautiful and then in bright fireworks near the end it said "Taylor Will You Marry Me-Chris". I almost cried. He showed me the engadgement ring and purposed. It was soo romantic. As the finale went off we were kissing.
I am now engadged and very happy. We are getting married in June and we know it will be great.

I knew it was coming. He proposed on Easter day. I woke up and came out into the living room and he told me he had hid some eggs for me to find, and handed me a basket. I looked for them, and there was one I couldn't find. He gave me the hot/cold thing and I finally found it hidden. I opened it up and the ring was inside. He was on his knees and I knelt down and tackled him. I don't think I even said yes- just kissed him. lol

Our first date was on the 4th of July, 2006. I absolutely LOVE fireworks...they're just magical to me. We spent the whole show doing that whole "I like him, I wonder if he likes me" thing, and about half way through the show, he finally reached over and held my hand. We've been practically inseparable ever since.
This past weekend was the huge Labor Day Riverfest in Cincinnati. It's the biggest fireworks show of the year, and about 700,000 people line up on both sides of the Ohio river to watch. Jack and I went down to the river the day before to tape down tarps to reserve our spots, and then on Sunday we went down with some friends of ours. About halfway through the fireworks, he asked me to stand up (which I thought was silly, since all the people around us were sitting and we looked strange being the only 2 standing, but I stood up anyway) and he held my hand and kissed me and said, "It all began with the fireworks, didn't it?" And I said yes, and he got down on his knee and held out the ring and asked me to marry him, all the while the fireworks were going crazy, and everyone around us was cheering and yelling "congratulations!!!" at us. Our friends videotaped the whole thing and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
I haven't even been engaged a week yet!
We're getting married on 10-18-08 !!!!

My fiance proposed to me at a 4 wheeler park. He kept telling me that whenever he proposed it would be unique. He took me 4 wheeling on 6/10/07. He had ridden around for a bit by himself. He had came and got me and took me to an open spot by the river and had me sit on the bench. He told me, that he needed to check the oil. I wasn't paying attention to him, he started walking towards me with a box in his hands. I asked him "what are you doing, then started crying" He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. (If I said no he said he was going to dunk me in the river until I changed my mind)...LOL
Muddy and all, I said YES. We are getting married 10/27/07.

my boyfriend just proposed to me today and i was not expecting it at all. He sent me a rose this morning and had a note tied to it that said it represented the past after lunch they had another one sent that said it represented the present and then the last thing sent was a bouquet of red roses with a letter from him and a note saying they represented the future and will you marry me with the ring tucked inside the roses it was so beautiful.
