I rely heavily at times on available web sites with great pet name ideas. I would never think of some of the names that are provided for me....lol.
A Bichon Frise is an adorable little character to be sure, and deserves a name befitting the particular personality of your own Bichon. As for my preference, I tend to like both male and female dogs, but in reality, my males are more clingy in nature, where the females are somewhat stubborn or feisty. However, this is certainly not the case in all dogs of any breed...simply what I wound up with. (I have a female Shih-Tzu...stubborn, and a female Shih-Tzu/Brussels Griffon mix...feisty. I also have a male Shih-Tzu...the biggest baby ever, and a male Boston Terrier that is always on my lap or under the covers with me).

If you want an indoor dog like a Bichon, I suggest getting a female. They are generally a little more expensive than males, but you don't have to worry about them "hiking their leg to mark their territory" on your furniture while being trained. If you want a "regal" name, just put Lord or Lady in the name. I had a shih tzu named Lord Tonoka. I now have a female named Lady Baby.
His or her personality may give you an idea. ie. he/she may just remind you of someone or something. I once had a cat I named Peek-A-Boo, because that is what she played all the time. Enjoy your new baby!

Females make better house pets. If you name her Monique you could call her "Little Mo"
