any females on here who are enlisted in the navy or have been please tell me what it is like for you. im going in as a hospital corpsmen/dental technician so some advice would help please!

do your job,do it well, and don't be a prima donna. You will be treated as a Sailor and earn the respect of your shipmates.

do NOT be the ship skank. have more respect for yourself than that.

As long as you don't shirk your duties, no one will care what gender you are.

Don't worry about it..if you deserve respect, you'll get it!

AND about what John said in his answer...where are you going to work where guys don't hit on you day and night...especially in the medical field????

lol, well four non-stop years of every guy you work with hitting on you trying to get into your pants for starters.

I'm really not kidding.. if the thought of that bothers you, look for a different line of work.
