There are some of us here and by the way welcome to Answers.. I have been a Christian for almost 30 years now. I came out of the cults. I haven't heard that Mr Norris is a Christian that would be wonderful news to hear. I can't say one word bad about Hurt. He is a good workman not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. That the present I lead a small devotional here in Sandy City, Utah.. I seem to do better in a small church. God is gracious giving so many ways tom serve Him. Well I just wanted you to know that I am here and would be proud to call you my brother... IHS and yours Jim

Q - Why do some folks here like to poke fun at Kurt Cameron and Chuck Norris?
A - John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Q - Why are there not more Christian Men responding and being involved on Yahoo?
A - Personally, I work.
Q - Why are there not more men in Christian church?
That is a good question to which I do not have the answer. I too see it as a problem I see the same married women in church alone every Sunday and half of them again on Thursday. I say, where's Bob? "Oh, Bob isn't much of a church goer. He really loves the Lord, but he doesn't like going to church. That sounds like such an oxymoron to me. If he loves the Lord, he would be at church. It sounds to me like Bob loves football more than he loves the Lord.

Okay I gave you a star. I"m not poking fun at Kurt or Chuck so, can't address that one. I'm not a man so I can't say why they aren't here. However, I think the reason more men are not involved in church is because so many churches are boring. Seriously. Churches need to BREAK OUT OF THE BOX!!!! also women many times have more reason to be there praying and begging God for help they can do their full time job and their 30 hours a week of housework, laundry and shopping on top of it. seriously. A lot of women are either really oppressed now days or they go off the deep end and do nothing. The men that will help are few and far between.

I have no clue why people poke fun of Cameron and Chuck Norris as for men not being in Church , well I believe that is because of priorities being changed over time . More people don't have the time or will to attend church and with the media suggesting there kids will be raped or worse inside Church - would you blame them ?

Well, I don't know about Chuck Norris, but I saw Kurt Cameron on Nightline. It would be hard to *not* poke fun at him. He made outrageous claims, and didn't follow through. The man has no idea what constitutes scientific proof. He's just plain silly.

Hi Bob,
I don't know why someone would poke fun at them, other than that they're upright Christian men. We as Christians will get poked at. I know I probably do at my answers on this forum.
You'll find many of us earlier in the mornings (here in the States). I'm off today, so am monitoring.
As far as more Christian men in church. I belong to a larger church in Indianapolis and let me assure you, men are well represented. I suppose it depends on the locale and the size of the congregation.
In Christ,
Dennis

Chuck Norris is just a long-running joke. You know, who would you rather have backing you up in a fight in a biker bar, a Division of US Marines or Chuck Norris?
A few months ago Kirk Cameron flaunted his idiocy by saying that the banana is proof of God. After all it is tasty, comes in its own wrapper, fits perfectly in your hand etc. What the Nobel laureate does not grasp is that the bananas you and I buy at the grocery store are very much a man-made invention. Wild bananas are completely different. Everybody jumped all over him, and deservedly so in my opinion.
Modern Christian messages such as "God loves you just the way you are" and "Jesus wants to have a deep loving relationship with you" are more popular with women and gay men than with straight men. Straight men want to hear about David Smiting Goliath or Jesus destroying death.

People poke fun at the two because they are well known people who are Christians. I poke fun at Chuck Norris because he's an arrogant prick... and I am a Christian. Did you know that he wouldn't even let his hometown put in a museum dedicated to him? He wants to pretend that he wasn't raised there. As for the Christian men thing... I don't know, being a female and all.

If you live a decent life you will be mocked. But that's OK, Jesus was mocked, beat, everything you can think of, you know this, so let them If it makes them feel bigger, or more secure in their "man hood" what ever that is with these folks anymore, so be it. Now men in church? Women have always been the spiritual leaders in most homes, and that is a shame, but, look up, the end is near.
