i know that god is to be thanked for all things in one's life cause all things as they are and were are for the good of all that love god but my question is:

if i had the emotional and psychological state of being that allways goes what if my past life this, what if my past life that?
i wish my past life life was like so and so,

am i sinning? i think it is a sin to dwell on the past, and i believe it might be a sin to not "feel" happy and thankful of your past destiney (biblical proof please?)

i know i must thank him for all that has come to past with me and i do and "feel" that way because it was for my best whatever it is but, if i still wish/feel like what if my past life was different, better,

which in turn would effect my present and future, am i still sinning?

I have to leave shortly to pick up my son at school so I don't have time to provide "biblical proof" (e.g., specific verses)...but I'd be happy to do so if you want to email me later. I did want to say one thing about your message.

"What if" is pointless and it can't help but take your mind off of what God would have you spend time doing. No power on earth or in heaven can change your past and if you accept the forgiveness of God for any mistakes you made, that's should be the end of it in terms of wishing things were different.

If your desire is to serve God, then the best strategy for dealing with past mistakes is to look for ways to use those experiences to affect the present and the future...things that you CAN influence! That's my testimony in a nutshell...I wasted a lot of time wishing that I hadn't made all sorts of mistakes in my past, but recently, God has been showing me that those "mistakes" can be used for his glory. For example, if you were a young person struggling to obey God's instructions about sexual immorality, would you be more inclined to believe the words of person who had always obeyed those rules or a person who had disobeyed, experienced the consequences, and then came to accept those rules as the truth?

Your past is your past and you can't change it...but what did it teach you that you can share with others to help them avoid making the same mistakes? That's question should be the focus of your reflections on your past...not the mistakes themselves but the good that you can bring out of them!

i've got watched the DBZ sequence from the time Raditz landed on the earth to show Buu replaced into defeated, and Goku as a large Sayian 3 is greater than superman by respectable quantity why? nicely superman scuffling with without protecting decrease back could reason catastrophic injury to the planet jointly as scuffling with, yet Goku can do the comparable without scuffling with; he just about shook the planet to show of falling aside purely by leveling as much as a large Sayian 3. So think of what form injury a large Sayian god ought to do. i understand that Goku had to combat in area understanding that this form of potential point could endanger the Earth. there is not any doubt Superman could lose.

Please don't waste your life regretting what you did in the past. If you did wrong and asked forgiveness, you have been forgiven. If you keep on regretting the past you are disregarding that forgiveness.

Instead of regretting the past think of the here and now, because what you do today will in a large part determine what your future will be like.

May you always be well.

I do not think it's a sin. I think about my past life a lot.
