Good question....it was never considered sinful until after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit....then they were ashamed of their nakedness. Surely there is deep wisdom here...

There is nothing essentially sinful about nudity (Genesis 2:25). Adam and Eve did not realize they were naked after the Fall (Genesis 3:7-11). Before the Fall, they were naked, and it was good (Genesis 1:31). Sin is what caused nakedness to become a problem. Sin introduced lust, immorality, and perversion into the human race. As a result, we can no longer look at a nude person of the opposite sex in a pure manner. God made clothing for Adam and Eve to resolve this problem (Genesis 3:21). If God approved of nakedness, He would have simply told them that being naked was okay, and they did not need to feel embarrassed or ashamed. The fact that God clothed Adam and Eve indicates that God expects us to be clothed. Nude beaches, nudist colonies, and all other forms of public nudity are not honoring to God. A Christian should definitely not be involved in nudist "activities."

I'm not convinced nakedness is sinful in and of itself. In psychoanalysis, dreaming that you are naked in public is generally associated with feelings of anxiety...a subconscious fear that you are "exposed" or "vulnerable". When Adam and Eve ate the apple, they gained the "knowledge of good and evil"...they became aware that their existence was a result of their own choices. This would have naturally caused all sorts of fears to errupt in them...and from those, a natural desire to hide themselves. The idea that they "covered their nakedness" may be an analogy (or it may be literal)...but either way, it serves to illustrate the fear that came upon mankind when he separated himself from the wisdom of God.

Man in his fallen state corrupts everything. Prior to Man's first rebellion, nakedness was not sinful, as there was no sin. Now, however, our wicked "sin nature" corrupts even the most beautiful, simple things into opportunities for rebellion against the Divine Will.

Their guilty response to the newly-acquired knowledge of nakedness was the issue. Prior to the fall, the man and woman were naked, but it was not a problem.

Actually, we were made in ET's image. We are hybrids of Neanderthals and various ET races created through genetic engineering about 400,000 years ago. The ETs were seen as "gods," thus giving us "made in god's image," "Adam's rib," and "the missing link."
And sin is simply man-made judgment, nothing more.

Before the catholic church came along being naked and or having sex was just fine and even celebrated as in the pagan rituals but along came a pope who waged war against the people of the pagan beliefs and declared nudism and the act of procreation as evil and dirty. Whats up with that, huh?

There are similarities in all religions - kindness, reverence in the direction of deities/elders (imams, priests, etc,) some variety of regulation, striving in the direction of perfection/closeness to the deity, etc. there isn't something incorrect with admiring and appreciating different religions. i'm Muslim and that i in my view savor interpreting Buddhism and appreciate lots of the failings (lovingkindness, regulation, etc) modern in Judaism and Christianity, too. it is once you enable those different issues confuse you from what you detect is acceptable that it could develop right into a situation, and that's supplied that it brings injury to you or those around you. in any different case, i might say save interpreting/looking around till you detect what makes you happy. :)
