How do you save a picture with alpha channels as a targa file on photoshop elements 4.0?

Whenever i try to save a picture on photoshop elements 4.0 there is no option to save it as a targa file. By the way i use a mac. Do i have to use a different program? or get an update?

If the .tga file format is not available in the SaveAs dialog box from the drop down list of save as file types, then Elements 4 can't do it.

Elements 4 is the latest version for the mac.
