obey the command to honor Jesus mother just as Jesus obeyed his own commnand. Why are you disdainful towards Mary, and insist catholics worship her, when we do not? Do you like to beleive untruths? Even in our catecism books to learn our faith, it does not teach us that. You are sorely mistaken.

You are so right in honoring Mary the Mother of Jesus since He is God the Word Incarnate.
Honoring ,esteeming, venerating or prayer-partnering with someone is not worshipping with adoration( which is to be given to Infinite and Eternal God alone) that creature and our Mother Mary is worthy of honor( we call it hyperduleia) as Jesus ' Mother
All who want to know what the Church really teaches about BV Mary should check out the Catechism of the Catholic Church para 963-975

I don't believe I am wrong. Mary was the mother of Jesus in his humanity. When you refer to venerating Mary the word venerate means to WORSHIP! The Merriam-Webster defines venerate as to revere, reverence, venerate, worship, or adore.

We should honor her as the chosen vessel who gave birth to our Lord and Saviour, however she ranks no higher than any other human being. On the Day of Pentecost she waited for the baptism of the Holy Spirit along with the apostles to receive the baptism. If she were the equal of God she would not have been there.
Acts 1:12-14 refers to the Apostles on the day of Pentecost waiting and praying for the infilling of the Holy Spirit as promised by Jesus. Note Mary was with also because she needed the experience also.

Notice how it is written in the Vulgate (accepted Catholic version of the Bible): Acts 1:12-14,
12. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount that is called Olivet, which is nigh Jerusalem, within a sabbath day's journey.
13. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James of Alpheus and Simon Zelotes and Jude the brother of James.
14. All these were persevering with one mind in prayer with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Both read almost word for word. Another thought I have read many prayers to Mary that refer to her as the Co-Redemptrix of Christ. If that is so, why wasn't she sent to Calvary too? Elevating her to same level or station of God is anti-scriptural. I was in the past a Catholic but discovered the truth of Jesus and his commandments.

You assume that Jesus is God. If you assume he is NOT God, then Mary is just another woman and there is no reason to venerate her.

Scuse me but your Christianity is showing.

Did you know that a bunch of old men sat around deciding what Catholics should and should not believe in? They still do that in the Vatican.
