i'm dealing with the same thing right now, my husband just had 7 teeth pulled. he tried dairy, like milk, ice cream and yogurt, but threw it all up. it was too harsh on his empty stomach with all the pain meds. pudding went down easy and i got him to try soup.

If he doesn't want to eat the first couple of days, that is normal. I didn't feel like eating when I had mine out, because all the blood I was swallowing made my stomach upset. I eventaully drank a lot of slim-fast. It sounds gross, but the chocolate kind was the only one that agreed with my stomach. Gatorade and applesauce are good too. Soup isn't good, because of the heat. Don't give him anything with a straw, becuase he might take out the stiches accidently by sucking or with the straw itself.

Milk Shakes, Pudding, do not give any solid foods. He will be better in a few days, hopefully they gave him some pain meds, that way he can sleep some days off, by then he'll want to eat something. But make sure he drinks fluids, and rinses his mouth out with salt water.

I'll put some up, but it isn't likely that he's going to be interested in eating at least for couple of days. Pain and medication will probably take down his appetite a few notches. I would suggest basics like applesauce, milkshakes, yogurt, smoothies, icecream, etc. But also try some soups, here is a link to recipezaar, they have all kinds of great recipes. http://www.recipezaar.com/recipes.php?q=soup

I even have had my 4 tooth pulled and for a pair of week i replaced into residing on warm soup, mashed potatoe, baked pumpkin. All gentle ingredients. It does experience gross ingesting once you have stitches on your mouth yet you get used to it very at as quickly as. attempt to stay faraway from something complicated because of the fact the final factor you opt to do is accidently pull out the stitches while they arent waiting to return out. shop faraway from icy chilly nutrition like ice cream and so on, the nerves the place the know-how tooth have been are so gentle!! reliable success you would be large.

if it has been only a few hours, dont push food on him. his mouth is really sore, maybe later, he might eat some pudding, or when i had mine out, i didnt want to eat, but instead got a smoothy or something that i could sip out of a cup. jello works also.
