Floods...i live on an island, and in the middle of a mountainous part of it. Floods happen all the time, but if we got hit w/ a Category 3 or more, not only will the winds damage, but the heavy rains will def. do my neighborhood in!

In the central San Joaquin valley of California the valley was once a great sea housing many prehistoric sea creatures with fossils embedded up and down the valley. If global warming continues and the Pacific Ocean rises only a short distance our flood plain will once again become an open saltwater arm of the Pacific Ocean. San Francisco and Silicon Valley will probably sink. It could be a wet one.

Here's a fabulous concept: when you click on this site, Care2 makes a donation that will remove one pound of carbon dioxide emissions from the atmosphere. It doesn't cost you a thing and every click really counts. Check it out:

I don't think that way. I see progressive change with a new president that will take on the bulk of the environment issues. If global warming does "get us" it won't be so bad - maybe there will be unique wines that we can buy in the states that are only available in other countries with warmer climates... maybe we will have palm trees and cactus?

Awesome. I am all about survival. I'll adapt. I'll also keep living green and appreciating life.

Considering the environmental alarmists change their tune about every 25 - 30 years, I will be worried about global cooling by then. I will hate having to go break the ice in my dog's water bowl every morning year round.

None of that. No one can predict the weather. Today isn't any different than back in 1982, and 2032 won't be any different than today.
