If you take your vehicle in to have it repaired and the problem is not fixed, they fix it. If you have your roof redone and it leaks, they fix it. Most professional services are done right or they fix it, right?
All but one, Why is it that if you go to the hospital and receive no explanation to your physical problem you still get billed. What a bunch of crap. Am I the only one who feels this way. I have a rash which has been on my feet for 10 years and I have been pushed off to so many different Dr. that I could puke. No one can tell me what it is or how to get rid of it but they expect my payment. Hospitals suck!!!!!

I have to agree with you 100%, Shreck! I saw over 60 doctors and paid over $100,000 in the process. I had pain that no one could explain, and they finally just put me on drug therapy. Then, I got HMO insurance through my husband's job. What a joke that is!! Try getting a simple blood test! Wait 1/2 hour on the phone to get an appt. with your primary doctor( in 2 months,) finally get your simple blood test, and try getting an appt. to see the doctor again, just to get the results! ($25 +$25 +$25=$75 4 months later.) Then get a prescription (either $15, $35, or $55 each.) Guess how many are $55! Thank you , Shreck, for letting me vent on behalf of thousands of people, I'm sure! You've got to get a star for that!! -LL

Medicine is not an exact science. You rule things out to come to a conclusion. Sometimes there is no conclusion, so a doctor sends you to a specialist. That specialist may not have an answer either, and thinks that you need a different specialist, or a sub-specialist.
You are paying for a professional, highly trained service. Medicine comes with no guarantee. If it did, all the lawyers would be out of a job (and so would all the doctors).
Everybody is very different. Very unique. You cannot compare apples to apples in medicine, because your rash (or other problem) and you best friend's may look the same but be very different.
And, yes, hospitals all suck. Some more or less than others. But sometimes, you need to be there.

I think the same thing. My 17 year old son ran fever and was sick for 3 weeks. Doctors could not figure out what was wrong with him. I also took him to the hospital 2 times. I spent countless hours and a lot of money in deductibles. Finally they did a mono test and figured out what was wrong on the third trip to the hospital.
Have you seen a Podiatrist? They might have a clue.
Good Luck!

I think at times hospitals can be disgusting places. I am a nurse and used to wark in them and I know how hard we all worked. Medical science is just that,a science and they sometimes cannot find cures for everything. They still have to pay housekeepers, nurses, aides orderlies, lights, heat, airconditioning and so many more bills. When my husband had his 3rd heart attack and was not expected to live and not only were they wonderful to him and caring, but the MD's who care for him were also. They came in on their days off to see him because they were so worried,so I am saying for me,hospitals have saved our lives more than once.If you had a major problem than no place is better. If your so worked up about them getting their money, what about a waitress who is rude and nasty and still expects a good tip,now that frosts my liver.

our entire healthcare system sucks today. insurance companies dont cover any thing anymore, prescription drug prices are way out of line, and we no longer get the same quality medical care we used to. anymore it seems like some doctors guess at the problem and hope they get lucky. i dont think you are alone, half of america has healthcare problems.
