NO! Starving yourself will NOT help you loose weight. When you don't eat after a while your body starts to panic, and starts using up all your fat stores for energy (that's why you loose weight when you starve). When you finally DO eat, your body feels the need to replenish those fat stores it used up, so all that really happens is that what you eat turns right back into fat. Find a healthy way to loose weight.

Nope. Your body goes into "starvation mode" as soon as you stop eating and the food is out of your gut. It saves the calories for the brain and the organs so you continue to function. You may feel weaker, because the calories are not feeding muscles, yet muscles do most of the burning of calories.
Do you want to lose weight?, eat less calories or junk food, eat more protein and veges and eat in smaller meal portions and eat more often (like every 3 hours)and be more active physically.

NO, you in fact could gain weight, because your body goes into starvation mode, and holds onto everything. Once you do eventually eat, it will take all the fat from it and store it. Its like skipping breakfast, breakfast is what starts your metabolism, if you don't eat it, you don't burn calories. People who regularly eat breakfast are more likely to not gain wight than those who skip it. If you feel you need to lose weight, then just take exercise, simple.

In fact, if you starve yourself, the body will CONSERVE every single thing you eat as fat for months after you start eating again, it will actually burn muscle tissue before it will utilize the calories you consume. Very stupid thing to try starving yourself.

This is how the cave men survived famine. Most of the time, they only got to eat once a day, and like animals in the wild, you don't hunt and kill something - no dinner. So, yes. It's a survival mechanism that the body has. So don't even think of it.

Yes, it will. It's called starvation mode. Starving yourself even for a short amount of time can slow down your metabolism. Your body will hoard every calorie to save energy in case a "famine" occurs again. Please don't try this.

Yes; your body's metabolism slows down. It is a reaction to the signal that food supplies are short and your body slows down to conserve - best to eat several small meals a day.

Yup...if you go hungry for a long time when you start to eat again your body tries harder to hold on to everything to avoid starvation.

yes, if you stop eatting for a long time your body goes into "starvation mode" and begins to store fat. In other words, it wants to hang on to the fat you have, thus lower your motab.
