Some people are just prone to nosebleeds not just kids. There's an herb called horsetail that's good for that. I stick it in my pizza sauce when I make pizza. Good luck.

Well I am 17 yrs old.
When I was small I always got nose bleeds.
The doctor told me it was cuz of the sun.
But then She [doctor] did some thing in my nose.
She said it was like burning the vain that caused the nose bleeds.
it stopped for a while but then even last yr I was still getting nose bleeds.
& I heard someman from my church say that when he started to donate blood it stopped.
I thought that was werid but At 16 I tryed it & Actually my nose
STOPPEd bleeding from than on.
I try to donate blood often When I can cuz I hate to get nose bleeds.
Well Talk to you son's doctor to see what it can be but I dont think it will be to serious.
Good Luck Sweetie to you & your son hope every thing is ok

If it is only once per week and it does not bleed a lot, it is probably nothing to worry about. Pinch his nose shut by holding a kleenex to it for at least three minutes. My son used to get nosebleeds too (usually at 3 AM). He eventually outgrew it.

My dad. myself and my son all havethis problem. It's caused by a few things. Change in season, allergies, and most of all the linings in our noses are thin. The things that help the most are drinking plenty of water (to stay hydrated) and humidifiers. Try those but also talk to your son's dr and make sure no other testing needs to be done (b/c there are other more serious things that can possibly cause it)

I used to get nosebleeds because it was too hot... "Wierd eh?" but you just reminded me of my neighbor, do you rent? is always humind damp? basement? My neighbor was renting the basement and the his little kid always had nosebleeeds until they moved out and re-did the basement, it was caused by the MOLD. It will longer for adults to show symptoms but it happens. just a though, im not trying to scare you but it happens. Good luck!

i used to have nose bleeds all the time when i was a kid. I wouldn't be too concerned but if it worries you why don't you take him to see his Doctor...just to put your mind at ease
