Hoe short do you have to be to be considered a midget? I don't mean a dwarf, which is different, but a midget.

I have always heard a midget is not a dwarf. A midget is just a short person that is perfictly proportioned. I know a four foot three inch man who says he is not a dwarf and would rather be called a midget than a little person. I agree. I think little person sounds stupid.

I believe dwarf and midget are the same thing. You are medically known as a dwarf if you are under 5ft.

Midget is a slang term for Dwarf. It's considered rude and discrimintory to use the term Midget. Dwarfs or Little People are the proper terms. There are many types of Dwarfs, which defines the stature and physical differences. I believe under 4'10 inches is considered a little person.

midgets and dwarfs are not perfect little humans, they have all kinds of deformities and health problems relating to their birth defect, its a malformation, not someone who just only grew that tall...........a perfectly healthy normal individual can be short and not be a midget

you need to better educate yourself. There are many terms for little people, most of which they object to rather vehemently. Midget, is a colloquial term and refers to anyone smaller than 5feet, it is not a scientifically based term. Dwarfism is a syndrome which causes stunted growth resulting in short stature and a little person.
