Hello all, I pray that you are all doing well today.
Have you ever felt it? You wanted to do something and you knew that it was wrong, but you wanted to do it so bad, so you decided to so that you would be satisfied?
I have felt it. I have experienced it. You do that one thing and pretty soon, you are falling....
Satan has gotten you all tied up in the ropes of sin.
We are all in bondage, friends. To one thing or the other. You are not alone in your struggles. God's Word tells us that "None are good, no not one."
Shouldn't that make us feel better?
But, what do we do when we find ourselves in bondage?
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:41
The good news is that our spirits are good. Our spirits know the difference between right and wrong. The bad news: our flesh sometimes starts a fight with our spirits. And the flesh is a fierce competitor. Sometimes, it wins.
Stay tuned...

The bible tells us to "pray without ceasing." That does not mean that we have to be on our knees 24 hours a day. What that means is that we have to keep open communication with God. We need to go to God first when we need advice. If something makes you feel uneasy, go to God with it. If your first feeling is uneasiness, most of the time then it is not good.

We can break free from the ropes of sin. Satan will do his best to tighten the knots. But, we have to let loose from him. Remember, satan is in this world, and as children of God we are not of this world, but have been set apart.

I think this is more a sermon than a question, but yes we are all tempted by sin and all sin everyday. Even when we don't think so, like gossiping and thinking ill of others and through racism or rejecting people we see as sinners. persecuting people based on their sexuality, the list goes one.

To love as Jesus taught means accepting and also embracing those who are sick or different or do things we disagree with and not judging them, it is not our position to do that.

We all feel temptation and all sucumb to it sometimes. Jesus even taught that he did., when he said there is none good but my Father which is in heaven.

All we can do is the best we can do as often as we can. We will sin.

My concept of the devil and hell is different than yours, but that is the beauty of religion, it allows for different interpretations in finding our path.

Remeber to God sin is sin, all equal except for blaspheming the Spirit of God. While we punish murder more severely than cheating a neighbor, to God they are equally sin and God knows we will commit sin, evereyday.

We have all felt the urge of sin. We feel it constantly and we can not break the bondage of sin ourselves. Only through faith in Christ can we overcome sin. And what is sin? It is breaking God's laws. God gave us the law to use as a mirror to show us our sinfulness. But obeying the law can not save us
"Those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.” So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.”But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing."

Unless we turn from our sin and turn to God putting our faith in Christ we will die in our sins and spend eternity in Hell. We never know when our days on earth are over. That's why it is so critical that we examine our self today.

Thanks for the great reminder!

Honestly, this is when you keep check of your flesh. As sin is only good feeling for a season in any of our lives. So that we don't fall into sin, God doesn't give us something we can't handle. It is a matter of bouncing the eyes, and staying away from that which tempts you.
With God all things are possible, including avoiding that which tempts you into sin.

Have you SEEN Satan? Where was he? I wanna go get his autograph!!!!
I am not in bondage, friend.
BTW, WHO wrote your Bible? and where am I falling? I can't feel any ropes of sin, because I don't sin! I don't need a Bible to tell me what sin is either, I need a conscience! Unlike the thing most people don't take out of the house with them!
Matthew 26:41? Watch what? Football? YES!

Jesus did say that he was the hope of glory. As for me I am comforted to know that God said a broken heart and a contrite spirit will he not refuse. I am so glad to know that the sacrifice of life was not in vain but I have an opportunity to salvation like Peter said in Acts 2:38, that if I repent and be baptize in the name of Jesus Christ my sins would be remitted and I would be filled with the Holy Ghost (King James Version).

I'm one of those weird Gnostic types who believes the flesh is weak by design so we can experience the pleasures of the flesh. Sure, we can go too far with it and maybe sin, but sin consists of more than a wet dream or glance in the wrong direction. To conquer sin, I suppose faith is a viable friend, but moreover, Know Thyself!

Yes, I agree...I believe that there two kinds of wolves in us: the bad wolf (flesh/nature of sin)such as pride and the good wolf (God's spirit in us)such as love & compassion. And these two has a battle within us. And with this inner struggle, the wolf that wins is the one that we feed the most...so if we feed on God's word and heed His love for us,then we let the good wolf win in us..so love and God's spirit wins.. Thanks for praying for all of us though many don't recognize the power of prayer... But really big thanks for the prayers , i badly need it coz sometimes I couldn't even pray for myself, find it so hard to start a prayer to God when it should be easy and as natural as it would be like you are talking to a friend..but sometimes it's difficult with many distractions just like one girl said that her prayer includes praises, thanksgiving, petitions but bec. of our vivid imaginations, we become distracted with many things, from images to dancing chickens to thinking of what's next for dinner?hehe... So my answer, is Yes,i felt it... i felt that i have strength to defeat the sin in me when i ask for God's grace and help...
