one to tempt?

I'm often told, when I have demanded God show himself as proof he exists, I am only tempting God and God can't be tempted. So, the above question stands as is.

Tempting God means that he really wants to do something. But then, if you aren't supposed to tempt him because that could be bad for you, that means he wants to do something bad. Which means, God's just itching to strike you with a lightning bolt, but.... he's just not tempted enough.

I believe that bu tempting God you are opening the door for the devil...In the Bible the devil tempted Him...asking why...begging for answers....demanding explanations are all human I have done it in the deepest areas of grieve and heartache but I believe that is all diferent than actually tempting God.

So let me get this right.
You're saying that the reason people warn you about making God angry enough to strike you down is because they are afraid He might not exist!?
And this is the best come back you can come up with!?!

I say, ask Him to show you that He exists. If you're serious, I think He will find a way to prove it to you. The Bible says seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you. Test Him.
