You know the way the Bible prohibits uncovering the nakedness of one's wife during her period? [Lev18;19 KJV] Well, is a husband allowed to be pleasured, by his wife, as long as below her waist remains covered?

This is a serious question. Like a man needs some release if you get my drift.

A woman was created for a man's pleasure what?!?! Is that suppose to be advice??

Anyway, I'm sure there is no problem with your wife pleasuring you during her period. It was prohibited for a man and a woman to have intercourse during her monthly flow because of the uncleanliness, (you know bacteria and germs) that might be transferred to each other during the act. Even now it's not considered good hygiene to have sex while on your period, though many people do it.

Since she is your wife and I'm sure you do love her, I see no problem with you and her doing what it is that pleases the both of you whether she is on her period or not.

When Jesus came he abolished the old law. So, as long as your wife is OK, w/it..it is more important that you stay pure 1Cor.7. Every three days a man needs to release, God knows this. Masturbation is only wrong outside of marriage. Since you are married, if your wife is OK w/it then go for it. Enjoy.

sexual relations. One can be selfish when it comes to gratification. If you are going with the word of God men should not come even near to their wife during her menses.

Gods word does not give any direction on how a man and wife should have sex. Yet there is a form of discretion if only both agree in love. Sex is never forced. From niether parties. He is a loving act before God.

Unless your a Jew this verse has no bearing on you or your actions.

Christians are not under the law.

The law is the old covenant, it is for Abraham and his children and Jews.

If your a christian you are under the new covenant.

This verse does not apply to you.

Now if your a Jew, ask a rabbi.
He will give you a good answer.. almost every rabbi I have ever met is a cool guy.

How does she take a shower? I'm a Catholic but this is ridiculous. You seriously need to consult the Bible about whether you can sleep with your wife? You are married to her. You could just masturbate if you are really worried. I'm sure there's something in the Bible against masturbation, though.

as discouraging for you as this will be, in ancient times a woman was considered to be 'unclean' during that portion of her cycle.
The bible forbade any sexual contact with a woman at this time in order to prevent men from becoming 'unclean' as well.
Later Roman Catholicism forbade it due to the fact that they believed intercourse should only be done for reproductive reasons, and if a woman is unable to reproduce at the point, than it is not acceptable.
The early periods of Roman Catholoicism (post 300 ad) took a dim view of sex because they were still dealing with the gluttonous sexual appetites of pre-catholic Rome.
Even today it is still believed that Rome's attention towards pleasure rather than stability led to it's downfal, and rather than try and teach the populace moderation, they instead tried to instill religious fanaticism.

What it comes down to in the modern church is that the restriction of copulation during menstruation is antiquated and existed for inappropriate reasons.
It is allowable today, your priest just doesn't want to hear the details, more out of ettiquette and decency than anything else.

Enjoy yourself if it's something you don't mind.

Leave your bible in the nightstand drawer and do what you want. For crying out loud - she's your wife...whatever makes you both happy. Do you follow every minute little detail in the bible? The answer is no because it's impossible, so why pick something as trivial as this? Geeze, relax and have fun.

You are allowed to this with your wife and only with your wife yes the bile says that about the period but it also says that a husband and wife must come together in the marriage bed often to prevent infidelity. So if it's okay with your wife then it is not against the bible.

Here's a thought -

#1 - Don't be squimish about periods. It is a normal process and if you respect women and you respect the reproduction and sex processes then don't get all worried about it. Just make sure you put a towel down on the bed before ...

#2 - In the case that she isn't in the mood during this time then respect that also and give her a back rub instead while keeping your business in your pants. You'll live.

Life isn't as difficult as some people make it out to be.

From what is says below, it looks as if you can't even be in the same bed/room/area as her for 7 days.

And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even. And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean. Leviticus 15:19-24
