Almost six bucks a pack for Marlboro Lights here in northern CA. Buying a carton from the cheapest gas station runs it down to about $3.40.

I'm in CA and I get my smokes smuggled in twice a year from the Phillipines. I buy in massive bulk, so I only pay 12.8734 cents per pack (Hope menthol). With the cost of shipment, they end up costing me about 57 cents a pack.

Depends on where you buy them.
In NYC they are around $7-8 per pack.
In Philly, they run $4-5
In Delaware, they are $3-4.

WAY too much! Even if they were free they'd be too much!
But the answer you're looking for is this: about 4 and a half bucks a pack for major brands. You can find budget brands for as low as 2 bucks.
But don't even think about buying them!!! You'll regret it, guaranteed! (speaking from experience)

In my town at a liquor store, you'll pay about $5.20 cents. About the cheapest you'll get in my town is$3.35 a pack. Roll your own for about $6.50 a carton.
