I've seen weddings with all sorts of colors as the bridal gown. It just depends on what you like. It's not a necessity. If you don't want pure white, go for ivory or champagne colored dresses maybe. Something with a little platinum in it might make it a little less boring.
I've even seen wedding dresses with red accents, it was beautiful!

Understand that wearing a white wedding gown is not an indication of virginity. White is worn to celebrate the festive occasion of getting married, which doesn't mean the bride is necessarily a virgin. Blue signifies virginity, not white. And just so you know, the tradition of the bride carrying flowers comes from a desire to cover up natural human odors. That is, the bride carried a bouquet of flowers so she wouldn't smell at the wedding.

If it is a color that looks good on you and you like it. You being a virgin means nothing. White traditionally did not mean purity...it meant wealth.
Wear what you want. If white is what you want to wear then wear white.

Wear what you want. I'm wearing a red wedding dress. It's beautiful! I'm too pale to wear white, it wouldn't have looked good on me.

Wear whatever you want, whatever makes you happy. I plan to either wear a colored dress or a white dress with the color in it. I have two in mind. I dare someone to tell me I have to wear something they want me to wear or like instead of me wearing what I want. It is your day, make yourself happy.

If you want to.
Edit: A white wedding dress does not stand for virginity, it is a common misconception.
