the only thing I can find in the bible is where the Roman soldiers were gambling over Jesus's clothing. This doesnt mean that gambling is wrong. Is there a verse that actually says not to gamble.

There is not a verse in the Bible that says plainly that gambling is a sin. However; there are verses that speak of earning your money through work and things like that. I think it's like alot of other things.. it's how you interpret it. I think if you do it for fun, and aren't blowing your kids grocery money on it.. then go for it.

Some people think it's wrong because it's money made without working for it. I personally believe that there is an element of entertainment involved in gambling, same as we would spend money on going out to dinner and a movie. I have no problems with it, scripturally or otherwise.
Addiction is another issue, but still, I see it as a life-problem rather than an offense to God.

The bible says thou shalt not covet anything that is thy neighbors.
The bible also says the love of money is the root of all evil
also,ye cannot serve God and mammon
That is why gambling is wrong.If gambling was ok,would you have to ask?

YEAH, ITS KIND OF A GREY AREA... THERE ISNT A VERSE THAT SPECIFICALLY SAYS NOT TO GAMBLE, BUT IT DOES SPEAK AGAINST WASTING MONEY ON NOT SO WISE INVESTMENTS... WHICH GAMBLING WOULD CERTAINLY CLASSIFY UNDER..... SOME MAY THINK IT IS WRONG BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE MONEY TO BE GAMBLING, YOU SHOLD BE HELPING OTHERES WITH IT, AND NOT JUST THROWIN IT AWAY. YES, THERE IS A CHANCE OF WINNING WITH GAMBLING, BUTMORE TIMES THAT NOT, YOU DONT WIN. YOU ACTUALLY LOSE MONEY.

So you meant "wrong" as in what a badly translated, edited, 2000+ year old book tells you is wrong? Look inside your own brain for answers to questions like that.
