My first SUV, and even better 4x4! I bought it yesterday and would like to eventually put bigger wheels/tires and poss 3inch lift. I would mostly drive it on paved roads, with exceptions of some snow/mud, and would take it to the sand dunes a lot. I want to also add a grill guard/bumper with some kc lights, exhaust, etc, etc. Any suggestions? Advice? Brands? Prices/quality? Appreciate it!

With a 3in lift over stock you'll most likely be able to fit 32"s or even 33"s with no rubbing. Also go with a suspension lift, not body lift. Even though body lifts are ALOT cheaper (usually 100-200) i promise you will have problems later on down the road. I had a body lift put on professionally and i had grounding problems after just 6K miles. Good luck and congratulations on your new truck!

Just a good grill guard and tail lamp guards. Keep the rest completely stock for warranty reasons. My customers don't have trouble off roading with the stock Xterria. Body lift and tires just makes 17 miles a gallon 15 miles a gallon. And buy a personal pressure washer to rinse off the mudd slush and snow.

google xterra owners groups

there are a ton of them

that truck has a huge fan base

john paul said it if anything go with the next agressive bfg tire (the name escapes me at the moment)

that truck does fine off road and most of the time its limited by the tires
