I haven't seen the show. But I did hear Sauter interviewed today about the show. (Interview was on Sirius Nascar Radio). And he isn't happy with the show. They have seriously edited his parts to show him in that light. He said that they showed him at his most frustrated points of the season, when there were a lot of high points that they could have shown but didn't. He also said that he was pitched the idea of the show to show him away from the track and his home life.
I kind of believe this. Why would a show, not catered to Nascar fans, show the non-controversial side of things. This show is for non fans to be brought in to the sport before ABC takes over the races. And what better way to do that than show some nutcase driver.
A lot of Cup drivers are having serious problems with ESPN (same company as ABC), because all they ever do is make controversy out of nothing. Not interested in any good stories. Just the bad ones. You can also see this in ESPN's coverage of all other sports too.
Sauter may be a butt head. Just telling what he said.

Yep, I'm sick of the Johnny Sauter soap opera that has been on every week on the show, I really like his crew chief Bootie Barker, I feel sorry for him having to put up with this guy who can't drive...and his fake tanned girlfriend, I agree she is a total nut case, now when I see them on the show, I get my remote and channel surf, heck commericals are better than the Sauter crap.

Yeah him and his fiance are both self centered and can't be happy for anyone but themselves. Sauter reminds me of a young Tony Stewart.

Agreed...my husband and i were watching and we came to the conclusion that Johnny Sauter is nothing but a complainer...he needs to just drive his car and stop bitching about losing...there can only be ONE winner....His Fiance, she should not have gone on the show......

I agree, they are both nut cases. I didn't know anything about Johnny until the show, and now I wished I didn't know anything about him. His girl friend is a real piece of work too, she is all about being on TV isn't she.

I don't think she is a nut case, I think he is. She is was waiting for him to continue her life. Toward the end, she said that he gets angry when he doesn't do well. He probably takes it out on her. She may be insecure with herself. I think that their relationship will end in divorce soon after their wedding. If she is somewhat smart.

I've been watching this show and I have to agree. He seems to be his own worst enemy when it comes to how he performs on the track.
