i have a 94 dodge shadow 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. and i am looking to put a turbo on it and a friend said to look into a 2.2L engine of a shadow... is it possible to take the manifolds and turbo off the 2.2L and install it on a 2.5L.... if not what is a shop in the Chicago area that is capable of doing such an application?

That is a huge, custom project. It won't just bolt up, and even if it did, you would still need to run a oil line to the turbo to lubricate it. If you don't know how to do all of this custom work yourself, you afe looking at a minimum of $1,000 at a shop.

Best thing to do this is going to be to go get a turbo engine from another vehicle with the turbo, computer and wiring. They made both the 2.2 and the 2.5 in turbo charged versions.

It probably won't be worth it. You will have to also change the engine controller, wiring harness, M.A.P.sensor. install plumbing for turbo oil-er and coolant lines,exhaust to engine pipe,fuel pressure regulator, and that's just some that I can think of.
