I found some old negatives in a box at a relative's and some were stuck together with what looks to be mold or ??? I believe they are from an old Brownie camera, 1950's/

Take them to your local photography shop. It would be better to have the professional clean them as they have all the tools

You'll need a negative squeegee (available at a real camera store) some very mild soap and some lukewarm water. Rinse the negatives in lukewarm water to remove any loose dust particles and then wash them in the mild soap solution. Rinse thoroughly, hang and gently squeegee (wet the squeegee first) them dry.

Any mold or mildew will be almost impossible to remove since it "eats" the gelatin base of the film.

Take them to a photolab a professional lab and see if they can be cleaned or salvaged.. There is a chemical cleaner you can buy probably online but, it's best handled by a professional... If you can't find a true professional try the local college and seek out the photography dept. they may be able to help...
