How is it treated? How do they deal with it afterwards?

A friend of mine mentioned a situation in his unit. A guy was raped but he was not treated emotionally. At least the rapist was arrested. This is the only example I have heard and do not want to base my assumptions on this. I would like to learn more. Thank you.

Extremely rare, unless you're talking about rape in the form of being screwed over (promotion, work detail, etc).

I was in the military for several years, and knew guys that had been in 20-30+ years, and have never even heard of it happening. Women soldiers, sailors, and Marines on the other hand, do get sexually harassed and some have been raped.

Regardless of gender, it would be handled in the same way, and would be very similar to a civilian rape case. The military police would get involved and very likely the accused would go to a general court marshal. As far as the victim, they would be entitled to any physical or mental help that they'd need to recover.

More often than is reported. Women are protected when they report rape. With men it is different. It normally goes unreported due to the fear of being labeled and marked. When you have to live with a bunch of men, You tend not to talk about things that would offend the entire group. Being raped by another man would be offencive to the group. Stiring up all kinds of emotions. Why report something like this and be curcified by your fellow soldiers. I would say if only 1 out of 10 rapes on women are reported than only 1 out 50 rapes of men are reported.

16 years in two different branches and I've never heard of it. The only thing I can think of is someone getting caught getting porked by their boyfriend and used the "rape" clause to get out of getting booted (old days).

In the Air Force, when you make E-6 they automatically schedule you to have your sphincter replaced with a titanium insert with interchangeable Teflon bushings. That's how often.

Mezmarelda thinks gay guys are responsible for raping men. LOL

Meamarelda must think rape is an act of sex, not violence.

Mezmarelda must be kidding.

There are no homosexuals in the US military, so there cannot be any rape. (sarcastic)

Do you think the liberals and ACLU will be introducing another recreational drug to children any time soon?
