Yes, by all means please.

And James J makes a very valid point about airsoft and paintballers.

I have had several of my answers yanked by Yahoo recently (yeah, thanks guys!) because I try and refer these questions somewhere else. James is probably correct in that this is likely the only section even close, so I'll take his perspective and try and be more accepting ......that we need to share this category with a lot of people that Yahoo doesn't address with their own category.

What burns me is, just look how many different sections they have for the "Global Warming Chicken Little Crowd"....it's crazy, but what do you expect from people who live and work in the fantasy land of the Bay Area, California?

Good Lord Yes.
By All Means.
Right Now.
While they're Updating.
Please!

They also need a seperate Airsoft/Paintball category as well.
Airsofters/Paintballers are the gun owners of tomorrow, and they are too often insulted when they ask legitimate questions in this, the only place on Answers where they might reasonably get a response. If you think anyone on "Toys" or "Games" knows a damn thing about airsoft or paintball, you are kidding yourself.
These Airsofters and Paintballers can be our friends, and the firearms community needs all the friends we can manage to acquire these days, faced with the spectre of President Hillary....We need people who will help us stand up for our rights. And if we convince the Airsoft/Paintball crowd we are not their friends, Then they won't help support out rights.

1 - Yes

however, getting another category may be a bit will be a bit like a few sardines try to steer an oil barge. They won't notice the requests unless they get about 10000 in on day.

I agree with DJ, they are quick to get on the people republik of Kalifornia's request but those of us in fly over country with reason and common sense, don't hold much influence over a kalifornicating company.

1) Yes

I am a hunter, but I am by no means a gun nut or expert. A ton of the questions in here are not related to hunted in any way shape or form. I am not annoyed by it, but I do think it is funny that Yahoo seems to think all hunters must be gun nuts and vice versa. They really need to get a gun section going.

1.
While there are a lot of good questions about firearms in general, they do not fall into hunting directly.

Yes. I'd be sure to hit both categories, but it makes sense to get the non-hunting questions out of the hunting section.

NO. reasons why:
1) why split up something so linked? hunting is largely due to what weapon you use, why make it harder on people
2) the people answering questions about hunting may very well be the people that know the most about guns in general, and vice versa; so why would they flip through two different sections to answer questions
3) really, is it that big of a deal that is has to be split up? are guns too good to be talked about in the same arena as butchering helpless animals?
4) does 1 or two kids asking about paintball guns or pellet guns really offend your holier-than-thou attitude so much that you'd take them away from some (hopefully) safety away and practiced shooters?
I hope this puts into perspective what you're asking and what it makes you sound like asking it
