Absolutely not! It is very, very unhealthy to do this. You are not getting proper nutrition, vitamins or will be losing weight. Your body has nothing to burn to lose weight so it will all become idle weight gaining and gaining.

Eat small meals all throughout the day.

Breakfast: Oatmeal, eggs, little bit of bacon or sausage, toast, and fruit of some kind with REAL juice, that of orange, apple, grapefruit, grape or cranberry etc. etc.

In between breakfast and lunch have one of those fruit granola bars with some milk; store bought kind those bottle milks or your own if able.

Lunch: Lunch meat sandwich, salad/vegetable of some sort, and fruit of some kind with milk or juice. Tea if you want, something along those lines.

In between lunch and dinner have maybe a little salad, fruit or a little sandwich of some kind.

Dinner have whatever, steak, spaghetti, whatever you like, with baked potato, salad or vegetable of some kind with milk.

Now if you stick with this and regulate your eating habits and eat throughout the day, one: your stomach will not shrink and you will not be blacking out and/or passing out in the day, you will not have to have your stomach pumped because you are not eating enough, you will not throw up your food when you eat because your small stomach cannot take it because you only eat once a day. Trust me it is good to eat, just eat healthy.

And also, very important, is to stay active. If you workout, keep with it. Walk, jog in the evening or mornings. Find a little bit of time to do some kind of physical exercise. And you will be healthy, be fit, and find yourself energetic and increased stamina to get through the day and not so lethargic and lazy. But you have to keep active and eat healthy to see results. Just because you eat healthy does not mean anything if all you do is sit around. And vice versa, if you are active and do not eat healthy you will find yourself not having enough energy to get through the day. Balance it all out.

Not eating will slow down your metabolism and make you STOP losing weight. One meal a day is not enough fuel to keep the "metabolism fire" burning, and your metabolism is what burns calories (even when you are at rest). Your body is an efficient machine. If you don't eat enough, it will switch to "starvation mode" and slow down and conserve all the calories you do put in (some as fat for a rainy day, too!). Of course, at some point everyone will lose fat, muscle, etc. through starvation, but this weight loss is only short term and could do considerable damage. Do it the right way. Eat 6 small meals a day, make healthy choices and step up your activity level. An easy formula to lose weight...burn up more than you take in. Good luck!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Probably not, your body needs 3 meals a day, but healthy ones, if you only eat one meal a day, your body starts to think your staving and the food you do eat turns into fats, and stays in your body, if you really want to lose weight try eating healthly breakfast, lunch, dinner, and maybe a few snacks. Not eating will not help you lose weight.

Eating zero meals loses weight even faster!

A healthy weight comes from healthy eating and exercise. Don't try to do one without the other or you will be fighting against yourself all the time.

Eat something during the rest of the day or you will be harming yourself in the long run.

Not necessasarily if you are eating a big meal with lots of carbs, fat, sugar, salts. You can eat more than one meal, try eating items such as oatmeal without sugars or butter. Have you ever eaten a sliced garlic, lettuce, and tomato sandwich?
How about fruit - Juava, Mango, Banannas, Apples, Pears.
Or how about some V8 or Mixed vegetable/Fruit drinks. My favorite is stir fried collard greens in olive oil without any meat. I'm sure you can come up with some appitising. and nutritious meals of your own making that are low fat, sugar, carbs, but high in nutrition

Best I can offer is my personal experience, after three years of eating one meal a day...my weight has stayed the same, and during some months, actually gone up.

You save time eating over multiple meals, but you'll find yourself a lot hungrier during that one meal.

Contrary to popular belief, it actually takes a long time for the body to go into "starvation" mode.

Anyway, of course you'll lose weight. Weight loss is a simple formula of calories in/calories out. The less you eat, the more you lose.

But the best way to lose weight is to eat breakfast and lunch and skip dinner. It seriously works every time. Or have a late lunch at 4, then breakfast and a midday snack.

probably not! I suggest eating breakfast and small snack throughout the day and a small dinner. If not your body's metabolism will shut down without that fuel in the morning. Put it this way you will be going hungry and it will probably take twice as long to lose weight this way then if you eat healthy snacks and small meals throughout the day which will keep your metabolism running strong which burns more calories throughout the day. good luck

No, it will not and it may make you gain weight.

If your body does not get enough calories for normal functioning your metabolism starts to conserve and may shut down - so that any calories cause a weight gain. You will be setting yourself up for lifelong weight problems.

You should go to mypyramid.gov and see what you need to consume for your ideal weight- compared to what you are.
