have encounter people waiting for the ps3 update Home in the net. so what is it and what makes it so highly anticipated.
plus will there be a firmware to remove region lock in ps2 games for ps3 consoles? thanks

Home is a virual community with many aspects to it that will greatly increase the PS3's online capabilities. It is rumored to be in the 2.0 firmware, but this has not been confirmed. Region locking cannot be fixed with a firmware update, or at all, legally. You would actually have to tamper with the inside of your system to make it work, so that won't happen, sorry.

It's a 3D world (similar in style to something like 'second life') where you can meet up with other gamers; create your own 'home', invite people round, play games, etc

Home is a 3D chat on the PS3.
It becomes available in the 2.0 update.
It comes out early October i think.

its just a downloadable update sevice where u can get updates and downloads 4 your ps3. and also where u can chat on it. to lock ps2 games into ps3 u go to playstation store from the ps3 and download ps2 update. after u download it u can play ps2 games on the ps3.
