is in fact at root an Middle Eastern Religion? For many years, I have noticed that the Southern Whites of the Bible Belt are fanatical evangelical Christians, usually of the Evangelical persuasion, and that their families either have a history of extreme racism, or are themselves still racist. The Ku Klux Klan, a famous southern racist institution is supposedly a group of Christians, yet I find it baffling that they also hate Jews and Catholics. Why? I thought these religions and the people that follow them were the basis for the Protestant religions they observe today. And why on Earth do these people hate the Middle East and its people if in fact they follow a Middle Eastern religion? Jesus was a Levantine man who spoke Aramaic, and they follow him, even considering him to in fact be white and not Jewish to muffle their own hypocrisy. C'mon give me a break. How can these people be so stupid. Why don't they just turn to the pagan religions of pre-christian Europe?

Fanatics aren't much prone to perceptive thinking.

You have a "fundamental" misunderstanding of The Truth of The True Christian Faith... as do many of those you mention... not an uncommon condition on this forum.... the KKK is not, and never has been, a Christian orginization.... The True Christian Faith is not founded on the Roman catholic foundation.... The True Christian Faith is not Protestant either... The Church of The True Christian Faith is truely Universal. Just because it's commissioning took place in what is now called the Middle East does not make it a middle eastern "religion"... it is not a "religion"... religion is an invention of man... The Church is from God...... The Mortal Flesh of Jesus The Christ was born a Jew. Jesus, as he walked this Earth, was both Fully God and fully man. The man was a Jew by all the standards of Judaism.

Let's just see how insulting you can be, shall we?

I have lived in the deep south, and I'm still a southerner, and I've found that many - MANY - of the "fanatical White Christians" that you are targeting, are nice and open minded people. I work with a Muslim woman, and none of these bigoted idiots that you are protesting about have ever shown her any violence. None of the Muslims who come to shop in my store have ever been harassed.

Honey, if you want to see a bigot, look in the mirror.

There are many different explanations for why southerners are racist without any rational explanation, but most obvious is that southern whites had to be racist, especially against blacks, because it protected their status, both financially and socially.
To mix with blacks was to let go of their own superiority.

It wasnt just the southerners who were racist, however. Northerners were racist too, they just used slavery as a way to win the war between the states. It was a way to get the large population of blacks on their side in the battle.

If you notice, ending slavery did nothing to help the black population in their fight to end oppression. In fact many of them were worse off. Many northerners were slave owners.

Jews themselves even rejected jesus, if you remember correctly. They are the ones who were responsible for his being crucified, as ceasar clearly relinquished any guilt from himself for jesus' death when he washed his hands in front of the crowd. Just as many blacks have been shown to be also prejudice against other blacks.

Jews may be considered eastern, but even in their own region in the middle east they are not accepted as belonging.

Catholicism has deep roots in paganism, just look at their icons. Many of the holidays we observe today had their beginnings as pagan religious celebrations.

Look at christmas, or new years, or halloween, and easter. All of these celebrations and observations have their roots in paganism.

Many of them were just adopted by catholicism and later on by other so called christian religions so that the masses would accept the new "christian" religion.

Most of these pagans would not accept this new religion unless their old traditions were somehow incorporated. Christmas was originally a pagan celebration observing the sun god, as on december 21st the winter solstice begins and the hours of daylight begin to increase, (and we know jesus was born when the shepherds were out with the sheep, something that did not take place in the cold of winter). Easter was an observance of the queen esther, Halloween everyone knows is an observation to rid evil spirits, etc.
All these things were denounced in the old and new testament.

When it comes to christianity, hypocrisy is the name of the game.
I am always amused at the dirty-looking, cousin-marrying freaks who never brush their teeth portrayed on the History Channels KKK documentaries. They have no idea why they even hate all the other groups when we all know they're just threatened by them. They think they're saving the American race, but they can't even use proper grammar saying things like, "Dem dam n***az" and whatnot.
And before you brainwashed christian people start giving me thumbs-downs, realize that if you in fact were not hypocritical, what I have to say would not bother you.
Feel free to e-mail me if you want examples of why christianity is hypocritical as there are way too many reasons to write on here.

I am also a transplant to the south but in no way am I connected to any type of group like the one you described. I have no hate any one from the middle east as I am Lebanese myself, still have family there, majority of my family are either Roman Catholic or Maronite Catholic and I myself am non-denominational.

Like who? You?

Why don't you get something to believe in? I mean, what are you going to do your whole life? Go along with every little wave of unsupported speculative thought that drifts by in cyber space?

The basis of all things good in this country right now is from Christianity and Christians.

Why don't you get off your egotistical high horse and go find out whats at the core of the faith and see if you can get some.

Or not.
You can still ride on the freedoms granted to you by the Christians before us that laid the foundations of the Country and government we live by today, it still gives you the right to complain and degrade the goodness you prosper by.

And of course if you don't like the country then you can leave.

Why don't they turn to the Pagan religions? Because we don't want them either. Sorry, but there's no room for bigots here.

The hypocrisy is astounding, and even the Southern Baptists have admitted to racism. Here is a link to a public apology they made a few years ago, regarding racism and slavery. Yet, racist attitudes still exist.

Good point. I live in the South and I see what you mean. Think about it, if it were 50 years ago and Jesus came to the South, he might not even be allowed to drink out of the same water fountain that his devout followers drank from.

In my opinion, people of this ilk hate everybody who is Different from then. The majority of them are poor, uneducated, un-cultured and wouldn't know a manner if it kicked them in the as%. How do you expect a bunch of tobacco-chewing, snuff-pinching, shi&-kicking rednecks to even envision other life styles or cultures. These people personify ignorance and will pay their dues upon their slow, agonizing deaths! I only wish I could be there to watch 'em all.
