It is not cheap quality, but cheap in price. Seriously, i have had wine from the wine of the month club that was awful and i buy beringer all the time. another good one is the chenin blanc and white merlot. i love beringer.

However, it just depends on who you are giving the wine to and if you feel comfortable around them.

Pinot Grigio mostly makes a white wine, and Pinot Noir a red wine. Pinot Grigio grapes vary in color, but even when the skin appear red, as it has a very thin skin there is little color to extract and while there are some pink wines made, the huge majority is white. Though Pinot Noir has a red skin with enough color to make good red wines, its juice is clear -- like the juice of virtually all red grapes -- and it is possible to make a white wine from Pinot Noir. The most common example is Champagne which is made from a blend containing Pinot Noir. Drea W -- when you cut and paste your answer from another site it is usual to give credit the source.

If you're broadly classifying by red and white, then yes, Pinor Grigio would be considered white, and Pinot Noir would be considered red. Although they are two broadly different varietals of their own.

Pinot Grigio is one of my personal favorites. It is made from a varietal grape. I've never had a bad bottle of Pinot Grigio, some better than others, but never a bad one regardless of brand.

Did you pay less than $20 for the bottle? It is NOT a good wine, but a MASS produced wine. It won't taste bad, but you will not make any great impressions giving someone a $10 bottle of wine.

Beringer is a very good quality wine. I especially like their Private Reserve Merlot's.
